There are so many things to do here. We love going to the cabins in the winter, camping in the summer, and camping cabin in the fall. The dogs love the water and the woods. Never had a problem with bugs. More

This park offers hiking trails along the Potomac River, cabins and camping sites. In the summer there is a pool and snack bar by the river complete with slide and diving boards. It looks like a great time waiting to happen. We loved the nature we observed as walking the trails. More

Westmoreland State Park was the perfect get away for a long weekend in mid-March. Even though it was Spring Break for a lot of folks, the park never seemed crowded. Despite the fact that the hiking trails are not all open due to the storms last year, the trails that were open were well kept and nicely maintained. Word of... More

Supposedly you can get hundreds of fossil teeth - but all we got was bit by a thousand flies. Flies that REALLY hurt and make you bleed. But it does look like a nice park otherwise. More

My husband grew up near Westmoreland State Park. My first time visiting was awesome. Enjoyed the trail and the beach just walking around soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. We took lots of pictures too. More

My son wanted to go camping so I did some research and found Westmoreland Park. We traveled about 75 miles and were there in no time. We rented a 2BR cabin on the cliff side with a beautiful view. It comfortable accommodated 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 pets. Our activities included but were not limited to fising, wading in... More

We reserved our campsite at Westmoreland online, and the confirmation email told us check-in was at 4pm. When we showed up at 4:10, the Visitor's Center was already closed and luckily a lady was still inside. She unlocked the door for us and begrudgingly explained to us that we could simply choose a site ourselves and put our reservation info... More
