This park offers hiking trails along the Potomac River, cabins and camping sites. In the summer there is a pool and snack bar by the river complete with slide and diving boards. It looks like a great time waiting to happen. We loved the nature we observed as walking the trails.

My husband grew up near Westmoreland State Park. My first time visiting was awesome. Enjoyed the trail and the beach just walking around soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. We took lots of pictures too.

When we showed up at 4:10, the Visitor's Center was already closed and luckily a lady was still inside. She unlocked the door for us and begrudgingly explained to us that we could simply choose a site ourselves and put our reservation info...
