When you find something that works, you stick with it. And that's why my wife and I called Captain Henry for another pony tour. Henry knows the area like the back of his hand. In no time at all, we spotted numerous mares with their foals grazing at the water's edge. So cute!!! We also spotted a beautiful chocolate-colored stallion... More

Like everyone I suppose-We wanted to see and get pictures of the famous ponies. Captain Henry did everything short of fly us to Wyoming (just kidding) to ensure that we got our pictures. I could probably list 20 things above and beyond what you'd expect but I'll just share a few. We wanted to get closer to take a picture... More

My sister and I were road tripping and wanted to stop in Chincoteague to see the wild ponies. The weather was rainy when we contacted Captain Henry in the morning while we were still 7 hours away. He was willing to keep in touch with us and wait til we were near to decide whether the weather would cooperate. Miraculously... More

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Although the wild ponies are certainly the main attraction (more on that later!), Captain Henry also was great about pointing out other wildlife, including dolphins, pelicans, egrets, ospreys, herons, etc- even showing us the oyster beds and explaining how they were maintained. Both biologists by training and nature enthusiasts,... More

That's right, the best! Give Captain Henry a call for an outstanding tour on his very comfortable boat. We saw ponies up close and his knowledge of the area is first rate. We will be back for another tour when we visit next year. Trust me on this, there's really no reason to look any further!

We needed something to do on our last day in Chincoteague and this was it! We were able to book a trip same day. It turned out to be the BEST way we could've ended our stay. We took our three girls, 7, 6 & 1, on a flat-bottom boat tour around Chincoteague Island. The boat operator/tour guide, Henry, was... More

I heard through friends that the Saltwater Pony Tour was great and they were so right!!!! Captain Henry was a great tour guide, his knowledge of Chincoteague and the wildlife. We saw ponies and a group of them were so close. I didn't expect that. I really enjoy myself. Looking forward to another ride!! Virginia P.

Capt. Henry was great….friendly, knowledgeable….everything a guide should be. He took the time to find out what we were interested in seeing and then made it happen. The highlight for us was seeing, not one, but two foals. It was a great trip and we would book again without a second thought.

The first Saltwater Pony Tour was so good — beautiful views, a bit of insight into the history and character of Chincoteague, not to mention the close-ups of ponies and dolphins — my husband and I came back for a second tour. And it was even better. We saw even wildlife, even an immature eagle and a sweet foal with... More
