Ponies on the road - foals and adults. Park is very nice, visitor center and facilities available. Pack a lunch! Admission includes Chincoteague and well worth the cost which is minimal. More

Wind and wave erosion coupled with visitor impact is seriously eroding the beaches. The NWR are trying to impose limits on the number of vehicles allowed access, but meeting strong opposition from local communities. This stunning area needs co-operation and compromise if it is to survive. More
