Simply one of the best experiences ever! Capt. Carlton was so welcoming, knowledgeable and experienced. The five of us friends who went on the tour of the island had such a wonderful time. We saw ponies, dolphins and a beautiful sunset! If you are visiting Chincoteague, this is a 'must do' trip. If I could give him 10 stars, I...

This was our first weekend trip away with our Girl Scout Troop. I had talked to Capt. Carlton a few times over the phone beforehand and he was very helpful. The crew was wonderful! They were quick to share Island history with the girls and were full of good humor. The day was chilly and everyone enjoyed the extra blankets!...

April 7th we took our family of 8 to tour with Island Cruises. This was my husband and I second time with Island Cruises. Capt. Carlton and his team are so very welcoming and they always have extra binoculars and in April it was chilly and they had extra blankets for everyone. I cant say enough good things about them....

While on a three day mini-vacation on Chincoteague this September, my wife and I took advantage of Captain Carlton's Sandbar Shuttle as well as the Sunset/Wildlife Cruise. On the sandbar, we shared the islet with just one other couple and their little girl; the weather was brilliant and my wife enjoyed being able to swim in salt water for the...

Had a great time on the Shuttle boat with Captian Carlton and his First mate on the way to and at the Sandbar. I hate to highly recommend the Shuttle to sandbar because the sandbar is only so big . But it was a wonderful fun time. Can't wait to go again next year.
My sister arranged with Captain Carlton for us to have a memorial at sea for our recently deceased father. There are seven of us children and all of us traveled to Chincoteague (one from Europe and the rest from 5 other states). Because of our complicated logistics we needed as smooth a memorial as possible. Captain Carlton of Island Cruises...
