Two yrs running now, my 4yr old son has ridden Sunny at the Pony Center. The staff is great with kids. Cute shop and fast paced pony show each evening. Great time for families.

This is a great place to get up close to a few of the ponies. They have the ponies in pens in front of the building so you get close to them and pet them. My three year old son also got the opportunity to ride one of the ponies. A memory he won’t forget anytime soon.

The Pony Center has several Chincoteague ponies in corrals out front which you can pet. The gift shop has alot of unique, horse-themed items to purchase. The Museum ($5) is a collection of Misty items, and other period artifacts. The Pony Show ($10) is held at 8PM each evening and is a fun, engaging event. The ponies with their young... More

Our family greatly enjoyed the Chincoteague Pony Centre. Our child (nervous of horses) had a wonderful half-hour riding lesson with instructor Katie that overcame the fears. (Thank you, Katie!) We returned for the evening Pony show which was a delightful presentation of pony prowess and an introduction to many heirs of Misty and Stormy, as well as channel swimmers born... More

Nice place to see and pet the ponies, pony ride expensive for the time you get to ride the pony. Pony show in the evening which is ok to see once.

You will laugh, you will sigh will desire to own one of the magnificent Chincoteague Ponies as the canter past you and anyone who has spent a minute in the saddle will not help... More

If you have a pony lover at home, you need to stop here. They offer lessons and rides (for a fee) and the staff there really care about the ponies. There is an 8:00 show that it fun to watch and learn about the ponies.

Great place to visit. Both for the gift shop and the opportunity to see Assateague ponies up close. However, there is always an up-sell - as they want you to pay for a pony show.

It's an easy walk to the Pony Centre from Main Street (although there isn't a sidewalk for the last stretch). They have horses in pens around the property that you can pet for free, which was nice. We went to one of their pony shows, which are held in a surprisingly small arena behind the main store. It was fun... More

Evening Pony Show was a little cheesy & staged but all in all it was neat to see the trained ponies & learn some history of Misty & the Chincoteague Ponies.
