This was our first boat trip ever! Capt Charlie is friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does for a living. Our adult nephew who has austisim came with us (total of 5 of us). We explained ahead of time his needs and Capt Charlie delivered allowing our nephew to be himself and thoroughly enjoy himself, as well as us.... More

We took a family morning cruise with Captain Charlie (Birch) in August 2014. Our cruise was everything I had hoped it would be, which is saying a lot because I have two teenagers and two toddlers and it is challenging to find activities everyone enjoys and is interested in. First, the boat was clean and safe. It is basically an... More

We had a fabulous time on the tour with Captain Charlie! He knew where the ponies had been shortly before our tour, so he was able to take us directly to see them before they moved on. In addition, he has a vast knowledge of the area and the history. He was able to share information and stories with us... More

We had a great time out on the water work Capt. Charlie. He showed us all the areas we wanted to see and put us right in the middle of a pod of dolphins! We had a wonderful time and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

My wife, two girls (6 & 10), and I recently took a tour with Captain Charlie. We booked this particular trip due only to the awesome reviews we read on Tripadvisor.com It did not disappoint! Captain Charlie was wonderful with the kids and as a lifelong resident of Chincoteague, was/is able to really educate us on the history and wildlife... More

Three kids ages 10, 8, 7 and I went on a tour with Captain Charlie. He was full of information, very accommodating, entertaining, and went out of his way to make sure we had the experience of a lifetime. We saw ponies, a bald eagle, pelicans, and herons. He even searched for and found dolphins! The kids and I loved... More

We booked a cruise during pony penning week, so we knew we wouldn't see the ponies, but Captain Charlie offered many other things on his tours. We got to dig for clams, see oysters, and topped it off by watching dolphins! He spent a lot of time with our kids, ages 7 & 10-they learned a lot from him. We... More

My family of 5 greatly enjoyed our time with Captain Charlie. He was fantastic with our children aged 9,10 and 12. I would highly recommend this tour. I agree with the other reviewers! Captain Charlie is the best.

My husband and I and our children who are 8 and 12 had a wonderful time with Captain Charlie. Charlie is friendly and knowledgeable and brings the perspective of a Chincoteague native. We were lucky to see a band of beautiful ponies ( a dream of mine since forever!) and learned about the pony swim. We searched for dolphin, herded... More
