How lucky that Daiseys was recommended to us. Carlton was great to work with over the phone as we planned our excursion, and luckily he was our captain when we went out on our trip. Joined by a few other riders, Carlton was the penultimate host. With coats and blankets to keep us warm, and binoculars for all, this experience... More

Daisey's Island Cruise tour Chincoteague/Assateague with Captain Carlton is a MUST DO when visiting the area. Our Captain was so accommodating. We made last minute plans with him on a chilly, windy December morning; yes he does tours all year! We were so enthusiastic that our 2 hour tour was closer to 3 hours (no extra charge). The cost was... More

I contacted Captain Carlton Leonard Saturday morning to hopefully arrange an afternoon trip for my wife and I. He called me back a few minutes later and despite his cruise being almost full, made it possible for us to go out as well. We had a magnificent afternoon. Although fairly familiar with Chincoteague and Assateague from our decades of visits,... More

This was a great tour. Our guide did an awesome job. He took us to see the light house and got us the best view of the horses we saw our whole trip. He was extremely knowledgeable. He even let our son drive the boat :) I'm just sad that we came a little too early to see dolphins.

Captain Carlton's tour was a highlight of my first ever trip to Chincoteague. I have been on various tours in the past and no tour guide came close with their ability to share true love for the information that was being shared with our group like the Captain. He was not simply repeating a script, he was enjoying the trip... More

As part of an informal photography weekend focusing on the Chincoteague ponies as well as the local and migratory birds our leader reserved an afternoon cruise on Daisey's Island Cruises. Our Captain, Carlton, was an excellent guide. He knew just where to take us to see our "wish list" of ponies, the sites where they hold the Annual Pony Penning... More

From the moment we boarded to the moment we disembarked, he made our tour one of a kind. He is extremely knowledgeable about the birds, the ponies, and life on Chincoteague. You can tell that he loves what he does. I highly recommend Daisey's Island Tours and Captain Carlton.

Fantastic cruise to see the ponies, birds galore (bald eagles too) and the beautiful island. Captain Carlton was extremely informative and most importantly he has true passion for his job, the island and the ponies. I plan to come back next year.

Our day-after-Thanksgiving pony-nature tour was the highlight of our 4-day visit to the Eastern Shore. We saw ponies up close (real up close), eagles, other wildlife, beautiful scenery and an interesting look at a local aquaculture operation. To say it was a wonderful trip is an understatement. Our captain, Nate Hill, is a life-long local and extremely knowledgeable, personable, and... More

While part of it might have been that we got lucky, it was very clear that our captain (Captain Nate) knew what to look for and where to look for it. Five minutes into the trip, he spotted a bald eagle. Seeing that was amazing. But the best part of the trip was our amazing, and according to the captain,... More
