Where do I begin... The first time I met the Captain, he was nice enough to welcome us on to his property to show us the first Chincoteague foal born that year! A pretty little bay filly... can't recall her name, but I believe her mom is "Moony". Anyway... from there, he informed us of his boats and cruises and... More

We took a cruise with Capt. Carlton Leonard on New Year's Day. It was the highlight of our week-long visit to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Capt. Leonard is knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. He got us up close to the wild ponies, a merlin falcon, some eagles, and many varieties of shore birds; generously shared his family stories about growing up... More

It was cold and chilly but we decided to risk the day after Thanksgiving on a Daisey tour. It was a fantastic trip. The captain (Captain Carlton I think) had extra blankets to deal with the cold and the great trip took care of the chill. Captain's knowledge of the birds and the area, including Wallops, made for a well-rounded... More

If you want to get closer to the wild ponies, and see more ducks and geese closer up, this is the best way to do it. Captain Carlton and his crew were very knowledgeable and accommodating on both my trips with them. They know exactly where the horses should be and how to get you to them. I brought a... More

I am a nature photographer and wanted to get a better photo opportunity of the Chincoteague ponies. Daisey's advertises you may see ponies, eagles, shore birds and possibly dolphins and our tour saw them all. I took some awesome pictures and learned a lot about the history of Chincoteague and surrounding islands. The Captain and his mate went out of... More

Captain Carlton - an truly wonderful person - thanks to him I can cross off something on my bucket list - Chincoteague/Assateague ponies. We saw dolphin, a bald eagle, various birds, the lighthouse and PONIES!!! You could not ask for a better tour guides - knows all of the history of the area. I dabble in photography and he was... Great weather gave us a wonderful day on the water, but Daisey's Island Cruises allowed us to enjoy the Island in an even better way. We enjoyed the information regarding the pony swim and the way they control the herds. The Captain was a very personable man and kept our interest in the history of the area!

WE had a great 2 hour and 15 minute cruise all around Chincoteague and Assateague islands. We got in close to shore to see an eagle, several types of egrets and a herd of wild pony's. Our captain told us a lot of the history of the area while we were cruising. He had also been on a "launch watching... More
