This was a nice park hidden in the middle of the city, There is a walking/jogging path circling the large lake. Fishing piers are provided at various points around the lake and there is a parking lot at the entrance. There is not a great deal of parking spaces, though and can fill up without a large crowd in the... More

Looking for a peaceful oasis away from the crowds? Look no further than Oak Grove Lake Park. It has a playground for the kids at the entrance to the park and a 1.5 mile loop around the lake. Don't forget to stop and see the large woodcarving of a fish on your walk around the lake. There are several piers... More

If you walk around this small lake sometimes it's very noisy because of the Chesapeake Express Highway. There must be in the past an Exercise Path but most of it is damaged. Our kids loved the turtles in the lake. That's funny.

This little Park is a hidden gem! Very nice playground area with benches. There is a great trail around the lake too. We really like this park.

It's fairly small but really beautiful park. We visited there with friends in Autumn, and the colorful nature amazed us there. It's perfect for jogging, dog walking. there is a small playground for kids.

Beautiful park with a gravel walkway all the way around the lake. There are also several wooden platforms for fishing. Great place to take pictures, especially at sunset. Parking lot can be full at times..

This park is a great place to take a walk with the family or friends. We have been several times to run, walk and geocaching with my daughter's Girl Scout troop. There is a play ground, picnic tables and a trail around a lake.

I've been here several times. Most recently we visited on a fall day, for family pictures. It was beautiful, picturesque. Our favorite part is the walk in to the lake area, via the beautiful wooded path. It's MUCH better, as far as less-crowded goes, during the week, when parking is ample. My kids love this place.

I wouldn't know this park existed if it weren't for geocaching. I've been here often as new caches get hidden. It is quite a nice park, with a small playground for the kids at the main entrance, a wide trail that circles the lake, picnic tables, a few "piers" for viewing and/or fishing, and even a fish cleaning table. Despite... More
