My wife and I enjoy cycling around the lake. It is beautiful in the fall or any season. My grandchildren love the playground. The park is clean and well maintained.

Oak Grove Lake Park is awesome! A trail all the way around it accommodates joggers, walkers, by cyclists and bird watchers. If that wasn't enough, the lake has fishing piers built several locations overlooking the park.

This is a HUGE park with a long walking/jogging trail, big lake, picnic areas, lots of trees, lots of nature. It's just a very lovely way to spend a day. The parking lot can get packed pretty quickly, because the park is so popular.

Good walking/bike trail around a big lake. The park is always very clean. There are benches, picnic tables and fishing/viewing platforms along the trail. They also have a children's playground.

Take a walk or a run around Oak Grove Lake in Chesapeake. Nicely maintained trail with mile markers to track your mileage - 1.5 around the whole lake. Nice playground for the little ones and a lot of people fish. There are picnic areas too. It is a favorite spot for folks to take out the dogs for a walk.

This is an exceedingly pleasant interlude located directly behind a business park. If you have an hour, leave your office and bring your bag lunch. You can sit at a table under the shade of a picnic pavilion and watch the breezes push the gentle waves against the shore. There is 45-minute trail to enjoy too--it goes all around the... More

After seeing this park from the interstate for months, I finally took the time to visit and was impressed with how pretty and well maintained it is. As others have said this park is an area popular with local office workers for lunchtime exercise. Though it's tucked away, the high traffic volume, especially in the afternoon, made it feel very... This park is right off of the busy North Battlefield Blvd. and right by the entrance ramp to I-64. The trail around the lake is 1.5 miles and is flat enough for strollers and wheelchairs. There is a play area for kids that seems to always be kept clean and a picnic area (you might need a day use permit).... More

This is a very nice park to visit. There is a lot of scenery and a very long walking trial around the lake.

This park has a very large lake with a path that circles the lake for walking! It has an area where your dogs can venture into the water or jump off a short pier (great for labs or dock dogs). Many areas of the path are shaded but some areas are more open to the sun so bring sunscreen and/or... More
