Fun place

We've hiked several times with young children through the woods. Fun to identify trees and see wildlife. Felt safe and kids had a blast.

A nice way to get out into nature. It's a nice, easy path to walk and unbelievably you're very close to the city. Definitely a good exercise for a family with kids, take a walk in the woods.

We go to the Arboretum with our two dogs and all four of us enjoy it. We love the flowers, garden, trees, and paths. We like to look for lizards in the sunshine, snakes, and animals in the water. It's an amazing place in the middle of a growing city.

The paths are wide and well maintained. We love all the bridges and shady paths. I just wish it was bigger. The whole park is about 2 1/2 - 3 mile walk.

Arboretum in the middle of Chesapeake is a nice relaxing walk for all levels of fitness. The trails are color coded, clean, shaded and seating readily avaliable. Comfort aside, the payoff for each trail is not that impressive, the lake once you find it, there is two paths marked one leading nowere, the other leads to the edge, quite beutifull... More

My wife and I enjoy walking our dogs here, however the number of local kids that "use it" do take away from the elegant charm of the park

Love the gardens and trails. Always adding new trail areas and it is a very well kept area. Great for running walking and learning about native flora!

It is a lovely place but there is a dangerous situation in that one of the bridges is very unsafe with many missing slates. The park had tried to stretch police tape over the entrance but it was torn down. An adult would notice this but a child might not, and could be seriously injured. Please repair or barricade this... The Chesapeake Arboretum is a pleasant stroll through the woods. You might even learn something! The Arboretum has several trails, but they are not always well marked, so pay attention. However, it's not like you could get lost as the arboretum is surrounded by housing developments. Once you enter, for the most part you'd never know that you are surrounded... More

Near to the heart of Chesapeake, can get away from the suburbia scene, but you can still hear traffic at places. Paths are mulched and terrain is level mostly. Will return occasionally.
