This studio is loads of fun. You can spend an afternoon creating a piece of glass art. In fact, you can spend more than an afternoon if you don't finish your piece. You pay for the project and play around with it until you are satisfied with what you have done. Except you really don't know what it will look... More

An interesting place to create items of glass. Our granddaughters had made us large salad bowls and my husband unfortunately broke his. We took it in and they kindly -- at no charge -- did whatever they do to fix it. Later he broke it beyond repair so the granddaughter and I went in and "built" a new bowl for... More

It was at the top of lists of things to see. This is actually a place to go and make something with glass as a class. We didn't know what it would be and were surprised. You can purchase something already made but there's not a lot to choose from. Interesting but wasn't really worth the time to stop except... More

My friend and I went here after purchasing a groupon that allowed us to make two small bowls (we plan to use it to hold jewelery) for a great price! Pros: 1) So many colors of glass to choose from! AKA lots of options. Although they were out of pink glass, which was a shame. 2) Environment is very supportive... More

My boyfriend and I were on a road trip from Lynchburg to Northern VA and stopped in Charlottesville for shopping and this Glass Art experience. It was so fun. We made on piece together. The ladies working showed us around and gave us plenty of time and guidance to let us pick out what we wanted to make. Then when... More

Gave a class to my mom for her birthday. We both greatly enjoyed the experience. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Would love to go again!

Working with glass is a little tricky at first but Cara makes it super fun. Still waiting for our coaster to be shipped but expect them to be terrific. Either way, it was a great experience and we highly recommend. Watch for Groupon coupons to get the best deal.

It was a rainy afternoon, so my daughter and I dropped in to check this place out. It was great! The owner showed us all of the projects around the studio, then we sat down and got to it! She showed us the basics and that was all we needed (we were total newbies!). My daughter (age 11) needed a... More

Visiting Charlottesville last week and stopped by the Glass Palette one afternoon. We all had a great time. All but one of us had no experience with fusing glass. The owners took us step by step through the basic techniques we needed to know in order to create our glasswork. The workspace, supplies and tools were all included in a... More

My husband and I made a platter for my sister-in-laws wedding. She loved it, and we had a lot of fun, Be sure to wash your hands well after you make your art. My husband had a tiny piece of glass on his finger, rubbed his eye, and scratched his cornea. Also, tiny details often get lost in the kiln.... More

Thank you for the positive review! I am glad you enjoyed your experience with us and that your sister-in-law loved your glass creation. I am very sorry to hear about your husband's injury, however. I hope he has fully recovered. I have not heard of this happening at our studio before, so I appreciate you taking the time to alert... More
