I booked an 80 minute massage for myself and an 80 minute pedicure that would include leg massage for my husband, so we would both be finished at the same time. When I called my husband from the locker room after my treatment he had been finished for over 35 minutes. So much for an 80 minute treatment for him.... More

We frequent the Boar's Head Spa a couple of times a year, going on a decade now. "Nevermore", as a local author once penned. I sent my wife there 10 days ago for a much needed massage. Since our last visit, not only have the prices gone up, but there is now a surcharge of about $25 for appointments on... More

Dear Mr. and Mrs. O, Thank you for being a frequent guest of our Spa and for your valued feedback. Please accept our heartfelt apology for your less than extraordinary spa experience! While there has been a change to the weekend spa tariff, there is a midweek savings over appointments booked on weekends. We take your comments about the Relaxation... More

I have a 4 month old baby and my husband thought I should treat-myself to some much needed relaxation. What a great idea pampering at the Boar's Head! I had the Jefferson Herbal Retreat. Amazing experience, this treatment refreshed my skin with an exfoliation, body wrap and a massage. The therapist was flexible and accommodating with my needs after becoming... More

At first, we thought, as we entered building 7, that we had checked into a cheap motel. However, our room was perfect, and complete with a deck that overlooked a pond. The 25m pool and the gym are excellent. The restaurant was an extremely pleasant place to eat, albeit a tad overpriced for the food quality. Service was excellent and... More

Celebrating my daughters 20th birthday with a few days of spa treatments at The Boars Head Inn Spa was absolutely perfect.

I stayed at the Boar's Head Inn for 4 days and enjoyed some the facilities such as the spa, the lap pool and the hiking trail. The Inn is a Historic Hotel run by the University of Virginia. The setting is bucolic, there are 4 pools, tennis courts, a spa, a spectacular golf course and more. The staff is gracious... More

I had to take a quick trip to Charlottesville on Sunday. I had wanted to stay at The Boarshead for sometime. It was everything I hoped! WONDERFUL staff! Great room and terrific dinner and breakfast. I only had one service at The Spa due to time factor (I was staying only one night and had a full schedule.) However, I... More

The spa was relaxing and the service was adequate, but it is the little things that make a big difference. It would have been nice to have all things needed in the locker room to get ready for a dinner that followed the service. I did have a room to go back to, but it is always fun to have... More
