This is by far the best hotel/inn at which to stay when visiting UVA. The restaurant is just okay but expensive. My suggestion is to stay at the inn and make the short trip into Charlottesville for your meals. The inn is older but quaint and elegant.
I went first thing in the morning on a Thursday and it was so quiet and peaceful. I felt as if I had the place all to myself. The signs to the spa are clearly marked. It's a short walk through the quaint corridor to the front entrance. The front entrance is nice with big red doors and a cute...

I love a resort with a spa that could accomadate 4 of us at a time. The staff was efficient getting us checked in. My husband and I enjoyed a couple massage that was first rate. Justin was in tune to the parts that needed a little more attention.

I have been to several events there, but have never stayed. The food is excellent and the staff are great.
Staff was so friendly, nice, helpful. Massage was wonderful, relaxing, perfect. They offer a free sauna room, and the shower room, and amenities, and locker room are great.

The Boar's Head Spa is a treat for sure. The amenities the spa offers make it an excellent value. Make sure to take advantage of the steam room and plan a nice dinner after your massage. Their locker room is more than adequate for refreshing yourself in time for a date.
We made our massage appointments for 11 a.m. at the Boar's Head Spa. They emphasized arriving at least 30 minutes early, which we did to find the spa entrance locked. A hand-written sign said everything was in a "training" session. The doors were opened at 11:10 a.m. by a woman who seemed bothered by the task of dealing with spa...
