The Jefferson vineyard boasts some great wines. You'll drive up the driveway past some lovely rows of grapes end capped with roses--just like in Provence. The tasting room is adequate. Try their Meritage for an idea of just how good the vinter is. The Meritage is a bit pricey but delicious. If you like reds you'll find their table red... More

Three employees could not handle more than eight or ten. We were ignored by staff. One employee walked directly across the counter from my wife, pulled a bottle of wine from under the counter and did not even acknowledge her presence. I have lived in a major wine producing region for thirty years. Wine taste ten or twelve times a... More

Good wines and a beautiful day to sit out and share a bottle of wine after the tastings with two of my favorite men! More

This is a small winery with a very small tasting room that, as noted by others, can get pretty crowded. It was almost empty when there on a weekday though and had a chance to really study the wines. I only cared for two of their red wines, the Cab Franc and the Petit Verdot, but my wife liked a... More

Hmm, almost passed this one by even though it was suggested to us by the woman in the tasting room at another local vineyard. Sounded a little too much like a tourist trap and a little too close to Monticello to be serious. Actually turned out to be quite good, small and personal. The young staff was very informed about... Arrived late afternoon after the tourist had scattered, no waiting for the wine tasting. $10 is a little steep for tasting but they do include a nice Riedel glass (without the necessary winery logo). We loved the Cabernet Franc. A nice stop if you are in the area but it would not be among my top choices for winery visits... More

The space is small and there are no inside seats, so be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for your turn at the tasting table. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised by many of the wines. The Petit Verdot is incredible and the wines have been aged very well and are all balanced. The tasting is five bucks and... More

With all the wineries in the area this $10 tasting is not worth the time and the wines are hardly notable. We moved on. More
