My wife and I were seeking a wine tasting experience that would include a nice scenic view as well as a decent glass of wine. On both counts the Jefferson Vineyards disappoints. Basically it was pricy, you stand up to the bar, average wine, and you may keep the glasses which look ok. Would not go again and watch out... More

Dear Paul T. Thank you for your visit and feedback. We will be glad to enhance our existing markings on our small speed bumps and will do so this month. It is a pity that your visit was on a day with poor weather. Our views to Carter’s Mountain and Montalto are really nice, especially in late fall, when the... More

The tasting is a bit pricey but you get to keep the glasses which are quite nice. You'll love this wine and can just picture Thomas Jefferson himself wandering amongst the grape vines.

I was very excited to see this vineyard as it was called the Jefferson vineyard. The young lady that helped us was very nice and the wines were good. We had a good experience and would return again if in the area. The outside was pretty but wasn't what I had expected. If in the area stop by.

I had been to the winery several times and bought many bottles of wine. I just went again in August 2014 and learned how little they thought of their customers. I was hoping to purchase a specific wine and was told that the were out of it but, the sales person let me know she had 5 botttles at home... More

Dear S.P. We are sorry you did not have a good experience with your olive oil purchase. Thank you for your feedback. We reviewed this complaint carefully after your telephone call, on August 6th. We sell olive oil as a convenience to our customers. Because it is a customer self serve item, at the time of your call, we could... More

Jefferson Vineyards was a find for my husband and myself many years ago. Now, we go there every time we visit Charlottesville! Even when we want to branch out and try new vineyards, we find ourselves returning. The wine is always excellent, service is wonderful -- the employees doing the tasting pours always know a lot about both the wines... More

We have had their chardonnay a couple of time at other places before we finally got a chance come visit the vineyard. The staff was very friendly and made good suggestions of what we might like based on what we said we did like. They have a quaint tasting room with large, ample grounds for your family and pets. We... More

Stopped here on a weekend wine tour and enjoyed tasting the grapes of the region. The Rose was our favorite. I would like to have tasted more of the top reds which were not on the tasting. Beautiful mountain views abound around the winery . A great way to wile away the day.

We love this winery! Friendly, knowledgeable employees, great dry wines, and beautiful vistas make it a perfect place to spend some time. There are several outdoor seating areas that are shaded. You taste ten wines for $10. When we first visited, you got to keep the Riedel glass. You now get a cheaper (but etched) glass. It is near Monticello... More

This winery is very close to Monticello, so you can visit there after you go to Jefferson's mountaintop home. All wines were well made and the staff was very knowlegeable and pleasant.
