UVA has a very historic beautiful campus that is evident by simply walking the campus. It nice however to take a tour of the campus to gain a more detailed history of the university and it's founding father Thomas Jefferson.

Historic and beautiful. Take the tour. The Rotunda is under repair so the dome room has scaffolding in it, but it is still spectacular. The second floor oval rooms are spectacular and give you a sense of what the university was like in its earliest days. If you take the tour you may get to see the inside of one... More

Mr. Jefferson's university still boasts classic architecture and a gracious ease. I think the steps and the buildings could do without the Z's and IMP's, which mar the effect, but I guess spoiled, drunken frats are the same wherever one goes. The little museum on Rugby Road is a gem, and the libraries are outstanding, too. Come by on Halloween... More

Great day trip to walk around and see the sites. Make sure to see the Rotunda, it is open to walk through and pretty quick attraction to see. Also, make sure to see the gardens (they are most beautiful in the spring but they are cool to look at all year.) Campus is really beautiful. The Corner is fun to... More

Great combination of history and tradition with a thriving modern community. Campus is constantly growing and expanding and has almost become a city within a city. And some of the most rabid (but polite) sports fans ever!!!

We visited the UVA campus and walked around The Lawn and toured the Rotunda. The Lawn was surrounded with small dorm rooms with fireplaces. Talking to a student he said these rooms are for dean's list students who support local causes, do studies in other areas of the world and they have to write an essay to apply for the... More

Parking is difficult even when classes are not in session. Nice walking tour though and plenty to see. Nice campus.

What an awesome campus and beautiful school! The bookstore is a treat (on the 4th floor above the parking garage).

I was not expecting to find such an amazing campus in Charlottsville. It's an amazing pace, with great architecture. If you're around don't miss it. There used to be a free bus you could take.
