What a lovely Visitor's Center in a gorgeous setting with friendly, helpful people. What more can be said - unexpected and perfect in this lovely little town.

This is the best visitors center we have ever been to. It is so spacious, the staff are friendly and it is well maintained. Ask for recommendations for places to eat, they never steer you wrong.

This is one of the nicest visitors center I've been too. There is room to walk around and see the displays of local artisans, review the brochure area, a nice store and very clean restrooms. All top off with the happiest, most energetic and knowledgeable staff you will ever meet.

Staff warm and friendly; large diorama of the DDay Memorial. I wish we had stopped here the first day so we could have planned to eat a meal in town. Lots of flyers for attractions throughout central and western Virginia, especially Smith MountainLake. There is a bus connection to Amtrak from there.

We stopped at the visitor's center to get some quick information on the area, and ended up hanging around for more than 30 minutes chatting with the friendly folks working here. There is abundance of information about the area and most of Virginia, and the building is beautiful!
