Hiked to the observation tower/summit using the Brownsville trail. Took 5 hrs and my legs were like jello when we finished. It was awesome!!

the waterfalls are great if you can hit it when they are running ..they do dry out if there is no rain...but beautiful in the spring

4 great hiking trails that will get your heart pumping. Great view at the summit with a fire tower. Water falls on Cascade trail. If your lucky you will catch some hang gliders on the summit

The views from atop Mt. Ascutney are fabulous. If you like, you can hike up from the bottom or you can drive up most of the way on the auto road. There are several spots to pull over and eat a picnic on the auto road. Don't forget to visit Brownsville Rock: you may see hang gliders launching.

Good for hiking, be careful of the narrrow trails, and don't forget to drive in D2 while coming down otherwise brakes will overheat!!
