I generally avoid tourist traps like the plague but we stopped here based on reviews. This store has a bit of everything for almost any preference. It is pricey but it would be a great spot to get a gift for someone back home. I personally bought a vegetable peeler and a can opener, for myself. They are identical to... More

We're driving and driving as we made our way through the beautiful VT countryside when we finally arrived in Weston. The Vermont Country Store was our destination and we found a little town of shops grew up around it. All the shops have the same merchandise in about the same price range. We spent about an hour wandering around looking... More

I love this store, fun to walk around store and shop for pretty much anything retro. While you are there they have a restaurant which is more suited for adults, and a snack bar that is great for families.

We were getting antsy in our trip up to Bar Harbor from CT so we decided to stop at the Vermont Country Store. It's a fun little pit stop with lots of goodies from time past and takes you back to a simpler time. They even have penny candy! Very unique store in the middle of a historic town in... More

This store is unique. You walk in the store and you immediately feel at home. Perhaps it is the layout, the merchandise or the friendly staff, but I just felt happy the entire time at the store. Situated in the historic town of Weston Vermont (which is home to the Weston Playhouse) the Country Store is located in two historic... More

Visiting the Vermont Country Store is like thumbing through one of their catalogs but with a chance to taste-test the goodies, feel the fabrics, and have an up-close look at the store's unusual wares. The store is well laid-out and has the old-fashioned look and feel you'd expect. It also has an excellent restaurant and a shady lawn with chairs... More

A step back in time.... it wasn't shopping...it was a walk down memory lane.. Try the cheeses, the chocolates, the jams, the candies..... I bought things just because of their uniqueness. Just a short drive from the Pointe Resort in Proctorsville.
