I have received the catalog from the Vermont Country Store for years. We were vacationing and visited the store in person. Truly a store for everyone - so fun browsing and sampling the delicious fudge, cheese, dips, jams, etc... Got some great gifts for family, and, of course, some things for ourselves. The only negative is the candy displays in... More

We visited early on a Saturday morning and spent better than an hour looking through the cheese, meat, common crackers (in boxes, bags, and tins), jars of all kinds of things, all kinds of candy, wonderful fudge and so many kitchen, home, and personal items. There are things here that aren't available in big box stores, and some of it... More

I always love coming here. Either one is fine, though I like the Weston store a bit more. There's so many things from my childhood I find there. The candies & toiletries are great. So many items that are hard to find can be found here. Always worth the trip.

Dear Keith, Thanks for visiting! We love to watch folks as they stroll the aisles and rediscover products from their youth that they thought were long gone. Some actually were discontinued, but The Vermont Country Store was able to bring them back. Hope you can visit us again soon. Until then, take care. Jim Szabo, Manager More

Essentially designed to capture tourists and a surprising amount of off topic stuff, but overlooking that they have some great Vt products, interesting related products, and are generous with free tastings. Worth the visit if you are in the area .. and don't miss the general store and Christmas shop across the street.

Jonathan, Glad you enjoyed our Vermont products and many free samples of cheeses, dips, crackers and snacks. I hope you also tasted the three maple syrup grades: golden, amber and dark. Vermont recently changed the grading classifications, and we encourage all of our visitors to sample each one and decide which they like best. Thanks for visiting us, Jim Szabo,... More

This was the best store ever! It has candy for 1 cent. It was also good for seeing all the old toys and candy from years and years ago. I definitely recomend this for any family visiting vermont.

This is a must see, especially for those of us over 50. There are so many items they offer which are almost impossible to find anymore. i.e. Lifebouy soap, Jade East cologne. Charles potato chips, etc. The free cheese, sausage, dipand crackers sample are verty pentiful. The candy area would fill a small house on its own. Plan to spend... More

My husband and I actually came across the Weston store by mistake. When we first started dating we visited the VCS closer to Okemo on our way home from a day of skiing and thought it would be fun to visit again on our mini honeymoon to VT. We made a disappointed face at each other when we realized our... More

It’s so nice of you to take the time to share your happy honeymoon memories about your visit to The Vermont Country Store. I’m glad the many made-in-Vermont cheese samples satisfied your “cheese tooth” and I am excited to tell you that when you visit us for your one-year anniversary, you will also have your taste buds tantalized with some... My wife and I were taking her parents on a Journey thru memory lane. My mother in law was born in this area and left when she was a little girl. 65 years later she returns with one request. She wanted to go The Vermont Country Store. Over the years she would order certain things from the store on line.... More

John, Your mother-in-law’s story is heartwarming, and I thank you for sharing it with others and with us here at the store. We love to hear how our visitors react to the store, after having received the catalog for many years. And because your mother-in-law once lived in the area, her journey down Memory Lane was especially meaningful to her.... More

I went to both stores the same day. One of the stores had a sales tent and well worth the visit! Hard to stop here and not buying something :-)

As a recipient of the catalog for many years it was fun to see the store and it is packed as full as the catalog. Fun items, lots of food items to try as well as Vermont items to buy. Some things are a bit pricy but a fun store to visit.
