This place is a great stop for everyone. Whether you need a place to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery or you enjoy browsing an array eclectic findings then this place is just for you! It reminds me of a Cracker Barrel on steroids (the gift shop portion). Lots of items there that will take many generations on a... More

You can spend a full day in this store. Saw items that were in my parents house which brought back many memories of childhood. Found many useful items that could have come home with me but I resisted. Items you couldn't think of yourself are everywhere. Forgot the food stuffs - so many cheeses to taste I could not make... Very fun store to check out. Lots of unexpected things. Large building. Helpful staff. Shipping stuff home is an option. Allow at least an hour. More, if you're a shopper. If you're hungry, stop at the restaurant next door. It's excellent.

My wife had always wanted to visit the Vermont Country Store ever since she began getting their catalogs. We finally were able to make the trip and were not disappointed. The store was better than we expected, like stepping back in time.

We come here at least once every year because it is just so much fun!! We learned about the store through the catalog we received in the mail and thought it would be fun to go down there. We did and what an experience! We saw a lot of toys we used to play with as kids - brought back... More

This place is wonderful, if you can't find it here, it does not exist. Like stepping back a century, into and episode of the "Waltons", this is like Ike Godsey's Store on steroids.

I did what I always do before writing a review, I read the bad ones first! In this case i"m not sure what those bad reviewers expected but it was certainly not what we found. OK everything they sell is not made in Vermont, but an awful lot is and presumably Vermont doesn't actually make everything anyway. Prices on some... More

Had picked up a pamphlet awhile ago on this place,so when we happened to be close by,we decided to check it out. It's out in the middle of nowhere, so advertisement is critical to their business. They have a lot of food to sample throughout the store. There is nostalgia everywhere, but at a price! Kind of reminds me of LL Bean... More
