So where are the two new groomers hiding?

There was some fanfare early in the season about obtaining two new grooming machines. I had high hopes that this year the number of groomed trails would increase, not so. This has... read more

There was some fanfare early in the season about obtaining two new grooming machines. I had high hopes that this year the number of groomed trails would increase, not so. This has been the worst year for grooming in both number of trails and quality. I live local with a season pass but just bought another pass to Stratton ,... More

Fresh snow on Martin Luther King day, holiday pricing, and less than 50% groomed. It seems that the bottom line has gotten the best of the decision makers at Mount Snow. Carinthia, the terrain park face of the mountain gets at least 80% groomed while today, the North Face expert slopes had 0%, yes! ZERO PERCENT groomed. I like the... More

I learned to ski at Mt. Snow and I go back every year. To me it has the advantage of being relatively convenient, about a 51/2 hour ride, and the snow conditions are usually fine. This year they had 81 trails open and I had a great time. I like to go mid-week, when the Mountain is less crowded. They... More

We've been snowboarding numerous times on the east coast, and Mount Snow is one of our favorite mountains. The drive is only 4.5 hours from our place in NJ which makes it just in reach over the Vermont border. I personally enjoy trails that are wider so as to avoid other people, so Mount Snow is a favorite compared to... More

Went over new years - extremely cold and icy - they were blowing snow during the week and it wasn't super crowded given the holiday but conditions still very icy. Some good wide blues which allowed you to avoid clusters of crowds or boarders or ski schools, but it did sometimes drive you right onto an ice slick. I don't... More

My husband and I had season passes for Killington for seven years but after having a baby 6 months ago, we decided to do mini-trips and see other resorts. Mount Snow was a great, well-maintained mountain that has wide trails and even a new bubble chair, which on cold, windy days is just as good as a gondola. Also, they... More

We spent a long weekend at Mount Snow in the Seasons condo rentals. Ski-in/ski-off was definitely the way to go. There are large, personal lockers outside each condo bldg for your skis which is great. Our unit was a top floor unit, which meant we had soaring, 2 story ceilings/fireplace, plus a loft. IT was listed as a 2 BR,... More

Signed daughter up for lesson. They were accommodating. I think she had fun for day. However, I decided to ski while she was getting lessons all day. As a first time skier i was taken aback by the entire lack of places to try out. The discovery center was nice spot...except that every single place to ski was filled with... More

We are oringinally from Texas and we never skied or boarded. We moved to the East Coast, and tried them for the first time last year close to Philly (where we live). This Xmas we decided to go to Vermont and check out Mt. Snow. It did not dissappoint. The slopes were as described and the levels were perfect. My... More

We visited here starting the day after Christmas, since we figured it would be the closest snow to the New York City area. We had some decent skiing and, having been here before, we know that with cold and snow, the skiing is perfect for us.Given the conditions, I fell that Mount Snow did a good job of keeping the...
