One thing I like about traveling is stopping at places that produce something local, to get a feel for things, and perhaps even bring something home for the folks who couldn't make the trip (although with TSA restrictions on carry-on baggage, that's getting trickier these days). Regardless, a place like a "cider mill" seems an excellent choice. They even offer... More

We thought that we would have a tour of this place, but not so. Just a taste of the cider which just tasted of Apple juice and no alcohol. Gift shop was very comprehensive with lots of choice and we had some free donuts after spending a certain amount in the shop. We went across to the winery side, but... More

I thought this was the best tourist store for Vermont, honestly. I didn't do the tour, and it was still snowing feet a day when I visited in March, so all I really got to see was just the store. Can't speak on anything else. The donuts are made fresh daily, and since they seem to sell them so quick,... More

Lemme start this off... This place is a total tourist trap... That said you should still go... If you don't like doughnuts though don't bother... As the doughnuts are really the only reason to go there... Oh and the factory tour is pretty cheesy.

A great place to visit, taste the wonderful cider, buy food gifts, and must have the cider donuts! I live near there and go often and always take guests.

This was a touristy type store, unfortunately they were painting the floor of the apple press room and the whole place smelled like paint - this made it really difficult to truly enjoy the store. On the positive, the apple cider was good! The donuts were ok (not spectacular).

Famous doughnuts were just okay. The shop features many apple and maple based products. Okay if you are on VT 100 south of Stowe, but not worth a special trip.

Cold hollow is basically a large touristy gift shop and I wouldn't go out of my way to get their donuts. I had them cold and they were pretty average although definetley would have been better hot! The only plus was they were very cheap, only $3 for half a dozen!

This was a nice place to visit. They sell jams, maple syrup, pies, salsa. and much more . all homemade. The cider donuts were delicious. They have a nice place to eat lunch too. This is right up the road from Benn & Jerrys, Champlain Choolates and the Cabot Cheese store.
