The Big Picture Theater is the only movie theater in the Mad River Valley; we are very fortunately to have it. The theater shows current blockbuster hits plus art/historic/special interest movies. There are 3 separate small theaters, except for holidays it is never crowded. The best part of your experience is having a drink and/or dinner watching a movie. Their... More

Food was very good. We were going to go to the movies and it turned out that the theater was closed due to a private event. Would have been nice to know beforehand (like before we actually bought the tickets!)

The staff were helpful and welcoming whilst the food was variable - the turkey sandwich was very nice but the French toast very bland, a little burnt and lacking in egg coating so a definite miss. The fountain drinks were expensive considering that no refills were offered. Took some of their famous donuts home - not impressed as they lacked... More

Loved the Food. Loved the couches and tables in the theaters. Loved that you could take your dinner and drinks into the theater, and that there was room to spread out. Yes, I repeat, they have couches and coffee tables in the theaters...just like home, except you need to keep your pant on. :)

Salmon was about a 6 ( on a 1-10 scale). Chicken sandwich was about a 7. Cole Slaw and macaroni were fair also. Very personable server and service was good. Few restaurants were open so this was our choice. I would give the restaurant another chance.

Seriously, this was the best place we ate the entire trip and the best Mac & cheese we had period. Didn't get in a movie but did have dessert there twice.

Liked it so much, we ate lunch here 2 days in a row. Great sandwiches and soup. The bread is fantastic, and had the soup of the day, Cream of Mushroom, yum! Service was friendly and atmosphere was laid back. Really liked it, would highly recommend for a casual meal.

This was a great restaurant in an unlikely spot; connected to a movie theater. I had a great Cobb salad and my husband had a delicious sandwich. The breakfast menu also looked great. We thought it would be fun to come back and have a drink (they have a full bar) and snack while we watched a movie, but ran... More
