A local family-owned “sure-bet”, Harrison's can be found smack in the center of town, tucked in behind the TD Bank and next door to someone's Aunt Betsy (somewhat creepily, the restaurant's entrance looks on to a cemetery). Once you get over the fact that you're about to dine in a basement (never my first choice), this Stowe favourite has a... More

Our dinner was very good and service was excellent. The restaurant is small and hot. The price of entrees was expensive and not expecting so many families with young children which made it very loud. I wouldn't go back during vacation because for the price and the noise factor I would like to try another restaurant.

We found out about Harrison's on our last night of our Stowe trip. We got their early but the restaurant was already full, luckily they offered us a seat at the bar where we were able to order our food. I ordered the special of the day and my wife ordered a fish dish from the regular dinner menu. The... More

Dining at Harrison's was the highlight of our Columbus Day weekend! We spent most of the day in rainy weather trying to enjoy the foliage & the outdoor arts & crafts festival. Even though the weather was a downer, Harrison's was not. I ordered the duck breast & it was amazing! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals in this... More

It's not haute cuisine, but it's always yummy. At first glance, Harrison's menu is standard American dining fare, but each time I've been there (3x), they always seem to have something on their special menu that's appealing. Once it was simple - baked haddock that was moist, tender and flavorful - another time a bit more exotic - duck breast... More

As we entered Harrison's, we were surprised to see that we were the only patrons. We opted to take two seats at the bar. There was a fair selection of local beers on draft and a large selection of local wine. We started with the Asaigo Cheese Fries. They were crisp and flavorful. We also tried the Roasted Red Pepper... The food here was very, very good. The wine list was very good for the area, especially by the glass. However, if they really want to be a fine dining restaurant (since they charge like one) they need to work on their service. We walked into this restaurant at 8:30pm and it closed at 9:00pm. We were treated like pariahs.... More
