This is a beautiful covered bridge with a ghost and a sad love story!! What's not to like about that??? Very short drive from the Green Mountain Inn!

Close to Stowe (less than 5 minute drive) this is a picturesque covered bridge worth a quick side trip from VT 100. You can scoot down the abutment to get pictures of the bridge framed by the surrounding trees and creek. Found this and 7 other covered bridges in the area using "covered bridge" search on a popular map program... More

It's part of the Vermont Experience. We enjoyed the drive to find it and it was nice place to take photos for the annual Christmas card.

We drove to Emily's bridge and parked to take some pics. It's a great covered bridge that overlooks a small river. While we were there, we asked a gentleman to take our picture. He was wearing waders. We asked what he was up to and he said he was panning for Gold. How awesome is that? We figured we would... More

If you head downtown, head to the bridge and grab a pic on this classic Vermont bridge. Just a fun little place to stop by.

This isn't too far out of Stowe to get to and is worth it if you like covered bridges and/or ghost stories. We didn't find any ghosts or weird energy but we were there in the daylight so who knows what comes out at night!

We didn't see any ghosts to my companions disappointment but it is a beautiful spot. The bridge and the lovely river running beneath it create a wonderful location for photos. It is just a short drive off of Rt 100 to Stowe so if you are in the area, do make the effort to stop by and see the bridge.

It's a small bridge, but the many and varied stories around it make for an imaginative visit. Covered bridges in Vermont are just lovely.
