We've taken a few snowmobile tours so expected this to be a similar format however instead of heading to somewhere interesting or stopping en route to see some great views this tour was basically get on snowmobile and drive somewhere without stopping then after a 5 minute rest turn around and drive back to the start point. The staff were... More

My family and I had a GREAT time! The staff are real pros; from the people who booked our trip to the guide staff, they all did a great job! My wife was nervous about this because she'd never been on a snowmobile, but our guides (Johnny and Cole) had her up and running in no time! The trip was... More

We had a great time. Everyone was wonderful. Staff was more then helpful and accommodating. We had such a blast and would definitely do it again. The trails were just beautiful and fun to go on. Definetly bring a camera and enjoy the beauty of Vermont. I would highly reccomend this!!

This was our second time out with Stowe Snowmobiles. I originally had booked a 2 hour tour through the Inn we were staying at and on our arrival, we were advised that due to weather issues beyond anyones control, they were only doing 1 hour tours. We were visiting Vermont with the intent specifically for snowmobiling, so I was a... More

I booked a 2 hour snowmobile tour 2 days in advance for 6 people, our hotel had given us a voucher for $5.00 discount per person. When making a telephone booking I said we had the vouchers and the girl quoted a total cost of $620.00 for 3 snowmobiles (2 people per snowmobile). We arrived on the day to be... More

Thank you for your recent post on Trip Advisor. We try very hard to give our guests the best possible experience when preparing them for their adventure. Being partners with mother nature is very difficult in our business. At times we may change trip duration due to weather. This happened with you but we assure you even though you were... More

I cant really say anything bad about how the shop and tours are run. Check in was fairly fast, they give you warm boots, you watch a video and then there is a short drive to the start point. There we did have to wait in the freezing cold for the returning group. They split us up so we had... More

The place is ok however the snomobile they use are old and in pour condition. We went out for a ride in a group of 3 snobiles plus instructor. One snomobile broke in the beginning of the tour and we had to wait and sit around untill someone brought another snowmobile up the trail. It was not fun because the... More

Thank you for your recent feedback on our Backcountry Adventures. Our entire fleet of snowmobiles are 2011 Polaris IQ LXT. We maintain our entire fleet daily. Unfortunately, unforseen mechanical issue can arise. All the other people affected by the unfortunate incident chose to accept a certificate to ride with us at a different time. I'm sorry you misunderstood me, but... More

There were 6 people in our tour group including my husband and I - and no one in the party had snowmobiled before. But the girl who showed us the safety video & gave us our helmets assured everyone that we'd be fine. After the video, we drove to meet our guides a few miles down the road. They weren't... More

Thank you for your feedback regarding your 2 hour Backcountry Snowmobile Adventure. We’re sorry the trip didn’t meet your expectations. I wish you had notified us of this the day of your tour, so we could have addressed the issue immediately. Working with Mother Nature is never easy. We at Snowmobile Vermont take great pride in offering a quality snowmobile... More

We went here on a day that was about 3 degrees out for a two hour tour. We were covered up head to toe (bought neckwarmers at the store in the building) and did not feel cold. Riding the snowmobiles was great, I was glad I drove my own instead of riding with my husband. The guides were fantastic, constantly... More

My husband and I are senior citizens, we were not sure snowmobiling was for us. The nice people at the tour location ( Umiak) assured us that we would be fine. We had to rent warm suits and boots. Think everyone should rent . Not much money to assure you are warm and snug. Ride up and down the mountains,at... More
