It was our first visit there. We are from France but leaving in Boston right now. Before to go there, we used to ski in some resorts in Alps and we were very disappointed by ski resort in NH or in MA. Here at Stowe we finally found something very close to what we had in Europe about the atmosphere,... More

We were lucky to be there after a few inches of snow. The ski conditions were great. The chairlift were fast enough. The restaurant on top is pretty cool for lunch time with lots of choice and very good food.

This little mountain has been given a complete makeover by AIG. To their credit, this place now has the "bling" that rivals some of great resorts out west. However, the skiing is pretty limited in acres available, and of course, there is always the challenge of skiing on the "ice coast." We also found that the guest services - especially... More

It is a typical New England resort with very narrow trails, lots of ice under the snow, and long walks between the end of trails and the lifts. I have never walked so much at a mountain. It is not a well laid out lift system. There are steps up and down for one of the gondolas. After getting off... More

Three days of nonstop snow made it just great. Renewing the main village area, efficient check in and rental process. Teaching was on spot helping an adult and teenager get comfortable. Gondola to top nice, prefer the quad to the other end where there is a lot of blues. Toll road fun with cut through a to make it more... More

I went to Stowe for a 3 day conference and skied for two days. There were fabulous snow this time, and a good variety of trails, not crowded at all. In the Northeast, I have been to Jay Peak (before and after renovation) and Mt. Tremblant. I fail to see why their lift ticket is worth $108 / day. I... More

It was the best tasting clam chowder. We had it in the Great Room restaurant. While somewhat expensive ($10) it was filled with clams, potatoes, onions, and broth. Sipping the soup and watching the nearby skiers was the highlight of our second day in Vermont.

$108 to ski for one day??? And almost none of the trails were groomed. We won't do that again. For a well-known ski resort, we were incredibly disappointed.

We were in a big family vacation, all levels of Ski. Really no problem, it suited all our needs. The place is beautiful. And the town of Stowe is a picture perfect Vermont place.
