I first visited in 2008 and plan to go again. Initially we stayed at a motel in White River Junction. The mountain landscape is majestic and pristine. It wasn't skiing season but I did go mountain climbing for the first time and since then, it's been on my list of ventures wherever a mountain climbing trail may be. The farmer's... More

We really just took a ride around Stowe, if weather was more cooperative we would have taken a Gondola ride but was very dreary and overcast. We will try for another time

A great option to get to the top of Mansfield. Once there a nice hike to the summit is a must. Road is well kept and you feel safe traveling on it.

My wife, 4 year-old son and I found ourselves taking a drive by the resort on our way out of town today. After gazing in wonder at the scenery, we opted to take a high-speed quad to the summit. It was fantastic. Pricey perhaps ($25/adult, the boy was free) but totally worth it. My son was literally awestruck by the... More

It can be a bit pricey for day lift tickets so you should plan the get the multiday pass. Check on-line because sometimes there are deals.... More

This is probably the best mountain around the VT area. There are numerous trails with lift access. The double black diamond were also very challenging. The mountain also has nice lodges where you can get great food/nice hot waffles.

Brilliant view and worth the hike up the mountain. The lake at the top is a photo opportunity! The trail is good for most folks to hike. The sound of peace is refreshing!
