We've been vacationing in Stowe for about 30 years. The recreation path is lovely and one of the main reason we make the trek from NJ. Well planned, accessible, and picturesque.

Recreation path in Stowe is great for walkers and bikers. It meanders about five miles through scenic countryside. I've been on it in summer and in winter and enjoyed it both seasons. It is well kept and easy to maneuver.

The bike path was conveniently located directly behind the inn. It was peaceful jogging along the river and wasn't crowded.

It goes on for miles and miles. Bridges, creeks, parks, weaves in and out of town. Great for a workout or just for a stroll.

This path is paved and is family friendly. This being said, it is not for the avid biker looking to challenge their skills. There are restaurants with outdoor patios to stop along your walk or biking trip and have a rink or lunch.

We love biking the path. We travel to Stowe Village and our favorite restaurants by bike. We also will stop and swim in the river. Lots of fun.

It's just long enough (5.5 miles each way). The path is varied (fields, water). Well marked and most people are really considerate. Loads of places to jump off and explore.

This is a great way to see Stowe, and an excellent path for a bike ride. You get postcard views of Mount Mansfield, green fields, clear streams, bridges, horses, basically everything that makes Stowe a beautiful Vermont town. The path is about 5 miles each way and is an easy ride, it's all paved and there are no real hills.... More

Gorgeous ride or walk along the river. Rented bikes and rode round trip for 11 miles. Lots of walker, bikers and joggers enjoying the beautiful scenic ride. Tons of spots to stop for a picnic. Benches and picnic tables along the way. Great way to spend a day outdoors!!

We usually go to the bike path for rollerblading. But this year we went for walking. The bikers can be reckless. For instance, speeding, not staying on their side of the path. This behavior can be dangerous. Thank goodness their are not that many that act like this. Broke my wrist once. That wasn't pleasant. Overall the path is great.... More
