The rec path is one of the best parts of Stowe. You can bike into town, stop to get ice cream at scoops, and then stop and wade in the creek that runs along the path. It's gorgeous. You can rent bikes at the red barn across from Top Notch resort.

I loved this trail but it wasn't always passable without snowshoes due to the snow depth. There are a lot of dog poops on the trail as well. But the scenery is great!

This rec path, built on the old railway causeway extends out into Lake Chaplain, into the natural habitat of all kinds of wildlife and incredible light. Keep an eye on the weather as storms can pop up with high winds and severe temperatures very quickly.

I have been on the Rec. Path in the summer to go into town on Main Street and have used it to go cross country skiing towards Mount Mansfield. It is always beautiful and enjoyable!

Easy access to parking, town and wooded sections.Easy to navigate. Scenic along the river. We can't wait to visit Stowe in warmer weather with our bikes.

But maybe, in the snow, no-one notices. A great place to run (or walk) and take in the river and the mountains.!

A great place to get out of the car - and walk. We walked along the river path enjoying the scenery and the fresh mountain air. There are picnic tables along the way.

In the spring, summer or fall that is! Winter you might find a little tricky . . . although there may be winter activities too, not sure . . .

We always take time to walk or play on the rec path. It's so well maintained and really beautiful in many spots. When it's above zero its a great way to spend a day starting in town and making your way to piecasso for lunch
