We just learned to snowboard and headed to Stowe to continue progressing & build up our skills. We weren't disappointed with the trails on offer. We felt welcome on all of the green trails (would have been nice to have a few more!) and everyone working their and using the slopes were very friendly & helpful. No waits for the... More

#1 piece of advice - get your resort pass in advance on-line. Once you've got it, you don't have to carry a credit card. If you're a beginning skier start on the trails behind the lodge. If you're a dare devil take the gondola to the trails on Mt. Mansfield across the road. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was... More

Great ski area - wish we could've stayed here for longer We were blessed with a fantastic ski day due in part to good spring snow but also to good overnight work on the runs A large concentration of double-diamond-blacks at the top of the main chair means that all bar expert skiers need to choose their route down carefully.

I set up ski school for my six year old six weeks in advance. The people on the phone were knowledgable and gave good guidance. My son and my husband had a great time skiing and the instructors were great.

We truly enjoyed taking in the beautiful view skiing through the trails, and the class our youngest took who had never skiied before was wonderful. The teacher was very friendly!

What a great experience I just had at a business conference held at the amazing Stowe mountain. With roaring fires being tended inside and outside, and freshly falling snow, Stowe was the perfect setting. Great people at every location from the bellman, to the front desk, to the ski/boot rentals, to the food court at the Great Hall. Simply perfect!... More

We ate at the resort a number of times over the past week, as we skied and boarded at the Stowe mountain. The food was great but it is expensive. $9 for a very small bowl of chili. Chili was delicious and very homemade but could have made a couple pots for that price. Guess that is what you expect... More

We wanted to try skiing at Stowe since it is one of the few mountains in New England we have not skied yet. Similar to other reviews, we found Stowe to have some very beautiful views but icy conditions especially by the end of the day. Their online system of ordering tickets definitely has some snags which need to worked... More

Even before my first visit to Vermont, I had hear of Stowe. The resort has a reputation for being a quality ski resort, and if cost of tickets and/or season passes is any indication, the resort should be a class act. Here's the truth - it's not that Stowe is a bad ski resort, but by no means would I... More

The resort itself is very nice, trails are well mantained, restaurants are good and restrooms are shining. But it is so expensive and overpricd for very icy conditions. Watch out for rainfalls, when it happens it will ruin your whole week, since it gets colder later and everything becomes a huge ice block. Moreover, the place is a beginner nightmare,... More
