After driving up Mansfield mountain we asked the person taking tolls at the bottom where to go for a light lunch. She directed us along the road to where there was a gondola lift up a mountain and a FREE lift in the other direction to Stowe resort where we found a pleasant restaurant serving just what we wanted by... The service and attention was excellent. After the first day, most of the staff remembered us by name. The accommodations were excellent. Even during the summer season they had a lot going on for the guests. If able, take the "Toll Road" to the summit and walk the summit trail. The views are out of this world.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food was great, the room was very comfortable, the staff was accommodating, and the scenery surrounding the resort (especially in the Fall) is unbeatable.

Having traveled to other luxury hotels I found this resort in line with what one expects when visiting a higher end property. The service is amazing, every person encountered seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were happy. The dining was great offering a variety of items for casual family meals to gourmet. The pool was great and the entire... More

The resort provided excellent accommodations, just outside of smugglers notch. The hotel was beautiful, and the customer service was excellent. This hotel is about seven or eight minutes outside of town.

We were really bummed that the Gondola is closed for refurb, but the light at the end of the tunnel was the Quad Chair. Really fun....and when you get to the top lots of different hikes to explore. Bring a sweat shirt, it's chilly up there....even in July.
