My wife & I last came here 17 years ago. She had a fall and tore all the ligaments in her left leg. She was brought down the mountain to the medical centre where she was treated well. It took a good 6 weeks on crutches and longer to repair. Although we have skied Europe many times we decided to... More

We skipped the hotel breakfast and ate at Spruce Peak. To be honest there was more than enough food for 2 on the Buffet Breakfast: Eggs, Pancakes, Bacon, fruit, etc that 2 adults could share which makes the 15 charge a good deal. Service has fast and one of the best mountain cafeterias I have been to in Vermont. Great... More

Private lessons: Booked a private lesson for my wife and daughter. 3hrs for nearly $600. Mark was our instructor and did a great job. My wife and daughter were pleased with his help. Seemed pricey and he ended the lesson at noon (Reservation was for 9:30am). Not sure why we missed out on the last 30mins. Remains a mystery to... More

Very impressive, beautiful views, full of "buz" if you want to drop in for an apres ski snack, reserve time for a massage at the spa, sit in the square and watch the Olympics on 16 foot screen. The drinks are priced at twice the amount at most establishments and the parking is valet.. most of the time. The development... More

We were dropped off at the main Stowe Mountain Center and booked two lessons and our lift passes there. As we were both beginners, we had to head over to Spruce Peak so took the Over Easy Gondola (i.e. cable car) across. It's a pretty pricey place to ski and was very popular as it was between Christmas and New... More

Spruce Peak, Mt Manfields small bro is located just 7 off Stowe and offers great facilities, service and food. Free lockers, friendly staff, plenty of lifts and varied slopes from extremely easy greens for the beginners to some blues. All are short runs but very well groomed. Great experience and we had the luck of amazing snow!

Stowe is split into two peaks. The main side with the harder trails and the main gondola. There is another option to take the Over Easy Gondola to the Spruce Peak. Here the trails are more for kids and beginners, but the lodge is definitely adults. The Great Room has amazing food; deli sandwiches made by request, salads, delcious chilli... More

Found staff very helpful and friendly for purchasing lift ticket and rentals. Also lots of staff for lifts. Skiied 2 days, once just for a few hours to start off and once with a beginner so stayed on the green slopes. Plan ahead or look online to get better price on lift tickets. Our hotel (Golden Eagle) had a much... More

Spruce Peak in Stowe is a must. Very well groomed trails, high end quality trails and restaurants. The staff are proud and so friendly. The lodge is almost brand new and offer all you can think of. The Christmas decorations and lights were amazing. I know it helps as we got there with a good 20 inches of fresh snow... More
