I've long enjoyed Magic Hat beer and was excited to go there for a tour. I've been on a number of brewery tours and this was one of the better ones. One reviewer described the 'artifactory' as a combo between Willy Wonka and Rob Zombie and that's right on. Very funky place with great beer. Worth a visit for sure.

Wow this is like walking into some crazy side show! The video explaining brewing was odd and funny. The scenery is crazy! Tour was great and the guide was funny as well. You get 4 free samples after which were very good. Beers were good. I enjoyed the IPL.

I am a great fan of the beers, so it was great to visit the factory and take the tour. Fun gift shop and lots to "sample" at the tasting bar. I left with several growlers to continue my tasing at home. The tour was a lot of fun with great characters leading the way. Fun decorations along the way.... More

Magic Hat prides itself on being a bit iconoclastic. That said, their beer still bubbles, their ingredients include water/malt/yeast/hops, and the pleasant aroma of malt permeates the neighborhood. That's a long way of saying--they make beer. How good is it? I am a home brewer and avid craft beer geek, so my palate is reasonably sharp. I tasted 5 beers--I... More

First, I have to preface this with I love Magic Hat beer and have for a long time. I've been to the Magic Hat artifactory before probably in the mid to late 2000s and I'm glad I went back! The tastings and tours are free. They had more beers on tap and a larger tasting areas than last time I... More

I have been on many, many beer tours and if you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all. Truthfully I have been on this one before...they try to make it fun and energetic. But I go for the samplings...you can get four and they have 6 or 8 different beers available. Magic Hat beers have never been my favorite,... More

This is good for a one hour, maybe 1.5 hour stop. You can hang in the gift shop and sample a couple brews, plenty of funky things to do and see, and they had a decent if fairly simple tour. The photo booth was fun, and it works OK for a couple teenagers in the family if you keep the... More

I'd never heard of this brewery before, just stumbled upon it. The tour is free, the girl giving the tour was outgoing & funny. I thought it was interesting & they also give you 4 free samples of their beers. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I like 1 every now & then, & their beer #9 was my... More
