Being beer drinkers, visiting Magic Hat was a priority and it was also more fun that we expected it to be. From the lively interior, the free samples, to the amusing and informative tour; we had a blast.

When we approached the outside of magic hat it did not look like a brewery. When we opened the oversized metal doors to our surprise we felt like we were entering 70s era of peace love & rock n roll. We missed the live tour but we were allowed to do a self guided tour which we found quite different...

If you know the beer, you can imagine the brewery: an immaculate and fascinating view of the production facility punctuated by funky, informative, Magic Hat-style signage. You can taste several beers for free and buy beer by the glass, or to take away (bottles or growlers). The tasting room is dark with a carnival-like atmosphere. You can buy tshirts or...

This was the whole reason we came to Burlington. We've been Magic Hat fans for years so we finally decided to come up. It was a great as we imagined it. First of all, it's free. They just let you wander around the upper level looking over the machinery and then you come back downstairs and the fun begins. They...

The tour is a fine, time friendly event that hits the highlights of the brewing art...with free samples at the end. Depending the season (spring, summer etc.) the beer menu changes... when we were there "Ticket to Rye" was our favorite...yeah took a growler of that home.
If your into checking out beer, and VT has a bunch of breweries,...

Easy to find. One of the bartenders seemed to have a chip on his sholder, but everyone else was friendly....free samples always help!!!!!
My husband loves #9, so we decided to visit the brewery while on a Killington trip. The decor in the brewery is funky and Mardi-Gras themed. The tour is short, and is given every hour; you are also given a sample card to try 4 of their beers. Best part, the tour and samples are free! We had a great...

The place is very Mardi Gras like. The brewery/shop/tasting area is filled with beads and giant colorful heads, skulls, balloons, a photo booth .... I can't name them all as there was just too much stuff to see. Sensory overload!
I guess they're best known for their #9 beer which I tried and can say, was not very impressed. The...

Very dark inside, poorly lit. Cashiers lack friendliness and both time there was treated poorly. Very little thanks. The tap people however very nice and friendly.
The corporate vibe has definitely taken over at Magic Hat. 95% of the experience is sitting in their giant gift shop. The beer is great as always, but the service and passion of a small brewery is gone.
Trade slips of papers for beers and no insight on the brewing process from the bartender. For a better experience, go check...
