We walked along the trails and got to the overlook, which was AMAZING. Then we walked past the dairy farm and saw some of the cows and the area where they make cheese. We got to sample some cheese, which was probably the best cheese we've ever had. They have a little store where we bought some things, but I... More

We took a tour and had a cheese tasting. I had no idea what interesting history was involved with the farm. For $11 you can take a guided tour of the entire farm and the famous Inn which was once a Vanderbilt home. There is tons of cheese to sample. See them make the cheese. Milk a cow and animal... More

There is so much to see at Shelburne Farms. The centerpiece of this experience is the historical manor home, now operated as an Inn. In addition, there are several farm exhibits including a cheese production facility you can observe in action and baby farm animals. The home and farm buildings are beautiful. A few different types of tours are available... More

This is a large estate "working" farm from the 1800s. There is lots to do with activities clearly marked with their times, but at every 30 minutes it would be hard to take them all in. The buildings are impressive and the trek between them is refreshing and not too long. The hike to the Lone Tree lookout is worth... More

We recently visited the farm after hearing amazing reviews. We visited with my 10 year old son and 6 year old daughter and they hada great time. It is absolutely beautiful and they have a wonderful exhibit that allows the kids (and adults!) to see and touch the farm animals up close. They got to milk a cow, hold some... More

We visited with two teens and a preteen who were skeptical about visiting when they saw a crowd of preschoolers in the parking lot. We ended up staying for 3 hours! Highlights were milking a cow, petting baby piglets, seeing how cheese is made, and viewing Lake Champlain from Lone Tree Hill. The staff are friendly and patiently answer all... More
