We discovered this wonderful place while in Vermont. We took our 2 dogs to visit and were not disappointed. Our dogs acted as if they knew this place was for them . . . a beautiful quaint "dog" chapel for those who have lost their beloved companions. There is also a "gallery" housing art, t-shirts, etc. which helps to maintain... More

Since the Huneck's are gone, we hope Dog Mountain will be maintained in the manner in which they kept it.

The beautiful craftsmanship of one man dedicated to the thing he loved the most. A tragic tale, with a touching legacy. Even if you vaguely like animals, you will find it hard not to appreciate the skill of Stephen Huneck, even more so when it is set to the green hills of Vermont. A truely memorable place.

All dogs can roam off leash and play. Very hard to find in most places. Lots of free parking, the gallery of Stephen Huneck is right door. Make a day of it !

The dog chapel is a must see for animal lovers...the craftsmanship that went into it alone is breathtaking but the very moving part of the experience is seeing all of the notes from families posted in honor of the pets they have loved and lost.

As the proud mother of 4 dogs I knew I wanted to visit this place. When you get there you can feel the energy change and feel the spirit of all the dogs that have been there. I am not even kidding you need to go there and experience it for yourself. If you are a dog lover this is... More

Being a dog lover I couldn't visit Vermont without seeing Dog Mountain. I loved Huneck's art and it comes to life in this special place dedicated to man's best friend. The chapel is very touching and we were sure to leave a memorial there to those canines we have loved and lost. I truly hope they can keep it up... More

Best place to visit if you love watching your dog run around and be happy. We learned of this special place upon checking into a B&B in Montgomery Center, VT. Our golden retriever was with us and we figured we'd have a go at this Dog Mountain. What a special place. We left a memorial note in the Chapel for... More

I took my Sheltie to dog mountain for the first time. I had driven by it and hadn't even noticed it. I saw an article in the local paper and had to find it. The trails are easy for anyone to walk and the views are spectacular. My dog had a great time playing with the other dogs, but kept... More
