Do check out the Dog Mountain website to read how it came to be- it's pretty special. This is a gallery, park with trails and dog ponds, and chapel, all designed by the artist who created the place. The Dog Chapel is particularly incredible- an actual chapel built for dogs and their people. All the walls are covered in memorials... More

I have been following Dog Mt via it's website for the past year since a coworker in Cambridge MA told me about the Dog Mountain story. I have purchased several items of Stehen Huneck's whimsical art to support the pure mission that honors the amazing joy our animal friends bring to our lives. The strong connection I have felt to... The dog chapel is very moving, there are plenty of interesting pieces and souvenirs in the gallery, and dogs run off leash all day...what not to like? We were there with a dozen dogs, playing by the pond, walking a hiking trail, and having lunch. Wonderful time.

It was a nice break for my dog to get out of the car and run. After reading all the reviews, I thought it would be much more spectacular than it was. It's free though, and not far off the beaten path, so it's worth a stop. The town is cute and fun to drive through as well, so that... More

Dog Mountain and Dog Chapel is a beautiful location. Represents the deep connection between humans and dogs. Dog Chapel is very touching and emotional for dog lovers. Definitely worth the trip. I'll be back whenever I am able to be in the area.

It's been at least 8 to 10 years since I was here last, and while many aspects of Dog Mountain have change, the mountain "concept" itself has not. This is a dog-friendly wonderland for our canine friends. When you arrive, you and your dog/s are able to freely wander around the entire area with no restrictions. Our four legged companions... The Dog Chapel on Dog Mountain is a real treat for people who love dogs. It is a true New England church, with only a few carved pews, and stain glass windows. Magnificent carvings of man's best friend fill the corners of this beautiful chapel. Dogs are encouraged to run off-leash around the ponds, barns and fields. It is the... More

This is heaven on earth for dogs and dog lovers! Well worth the 6 hour trip we made with 7 dogs just to come see this special place! The dog chapel is truly a touching place to see all the loved dogs that have passed on left notes by their friends. The stained glass and hand crafted "pews" are a... More

We recently got a puppy. She's coming along very well but can always use more time to learn her manners with other dogs. Dog Mountain has become a great place to socialize with other dogs for her. The people are so nice and extremely inviting. There is a peaceful feeling at Dog Mountain that one doesn't find just anywhere. I... More
