Haven't been here in years but since I was going by had to stop. They still have a myriad of dips, jellies etc, out for you to try with the ubiquitous country cracker. Looks to me like they are smaller than they used to be but still good. Bought a few dips, browsed around and sat on the front porch... More

We heard about the Vermont Country Store and we were so glad we took this little side trip. They have a lot of unique things (I got some socks without toe seams) and they had a crazy amount of different foods to sample. My favorite was some Lemon Cream Cheese spread or can be made into a cheesecake! There was... More

It's a short drive to the Rockingham branch of the VT Country Store from where I live. My husband and I usually come every other month or so on a Sunday afternoon. When you say Vermont Country Store, I think food. You can sample fudge, dips, jellies, cheese, crackers, etc. There is a huge candy section. There are homemade coconut... More

Welcome, neighbor! Glad to hear you enjoy visiting us often. You mentioned that you like sodas without corn syrup. Have you tried our Old-Fashioned Pure Cola Syrup yet? It’s a natural remedy for upset tummies. Check it out online (#21650), or next time you visit us. Until we see you again, take care. Deane Cooper, Store Manager More

Let's face it, it's a chain. But I did catch it at the 25% end of summer sale and got some good deals. I got a very nice Woolwitch flannel insulated button down shirt for about 33% off retail so that was good! I think young kids would find it fun and they have lots of reproductions of toys from... Went to both stores on the same day. Found a lot of the same merchandise, but also different items, so worth a visit to do both--about 1/2 hr from each other. One of the stores had a clearance/sales tent.

The 1st time I visited this store was when my son went off to college in Castelton. On the way home to Ct. we stopped there, that was it, every time we went to visit our son we stopped at the store. My son ended up meeting a native Vermonter, marrying and staying there. Needles to say that gave me... More
