Shows and talks twice a day round out a great place to learn about how this center nutures recovering birds and then releases many. A great walk along the river. More

I love birds of prey so we stopped here to see what it was all about. There are 10 - 12 outdoor displays each containing a different species of bird. Eagles, hawks, peregrine falcon, owls, etc. These are all birds that cannot be released back into the wild due to injuries. If you're a photographer you love the photo opportunities... More

An exhibt & live show including hawks & other birds alike. Had to appreciate the training that is involved by the trainers upon taking part in the show. After the show we walked by the bird's habitats which allowed us to get up close to the birds. My grandson's (4 yrs old) enthusiasm made it all worthwhile! A stop at... More

The VINS Center is a delightful place to visit, for young and old alike. We went in a family party of three generations and all of us agreed that it was a highlight of our Vermont vacation. The place is beautifully set out and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The primary purpose of VINS is the rescue, treatment... More

The VINS center is a wonderful way to spend the day. They have several exhibits and walking trails. They offer several educational presentations throughout the day. The birds who live onsite are beautiful and majestic. The staff at the VINS center are wonderful! They will answer any and all of your questions. My husband and I had a wonderful time... More

I visited the Institute with my wife, our two teen sons and 10 year old daughter, and we all loved it. It is primarily a rehabilitation center for birds, but has many interesting and educational exhibits. It is very clean, and seems to be exceptionally well run. The main focus here is primarily birds of prey, although there are other small... More

I visited here on a very hot July 2010 day with my 8-year-old daughter and 10-year-old bird-crazy son. What a great facility and a friendly, informed staff. We were really impressed. We started with an excellent 45-minute program featuring several raptors, then visited all the raptors in their cages and the rehab center. We went on a short 1/2 mile... More

VINS is a small, but very well done nature center near Quechee Gorge. The main focus of the Center is birds, particularly raptors. There are about dozen large enclosures showing off various types of raptors including several kinds of owls, eagles, vultures, and falcons. All these birds are living at the Center because they can't survive in the wild anymore... More
