My partner and I loved the chance to see hawks and owls up close and to interact with the very knowledgeable staff. Even the volunteers were able to answer questions.

We decided to check this out after hiking the gorge. It was very nice. They had a great exhibit on birds evolution from dinosaurs. They also had great raptor exhibits. We even adopted an owl!

I'm somewhat of a bird nut, so this Nature Center was great for me. There is quite a bit of hands-on stuff for little ones; I suggest downloading the program schedule as this can change by time and by day. Kids seem to like the snapping turtles and snakes. Certain times of the year, you can watch them feed baby... More

We spent a lovely afternoon at VINS. The raptors are awe-inspiring, and we really liked the show. Loved walking the nature trails as well.

We went here in mid-June with my three grandsons. The youngest (age 4) was probably more interested in the activity area where he could draw a picture. The middle one (aged 6-1/2) started the treasure hunt, but lost interest. He and the oldest (almost 11) especially like the flying demonstration, but the talk on the environment and how the birds... we have always enjoyed visiting the Woodstock area and taking visitors to VINS. It is a unique opportunity to see the birds up close and to learn about wildlife.

We went on a whim, and we were so glad we did. It was late in the day, perhaps that accounts for how few people were about. But perhaps because it was so quiet, many birds were right up front and we got spectacular looks at them. The snowy owl was unbelievable. We loved how the cages were open with... More

A great find on a rainy day - although it would have been more pleasant if the sun was shining so we could really enjoy being outside and observing the birds, the raptors and the well-maintained trail system. My 3 kids (5,8,10) really enjoyed the classroom presentations and seeing live owls, hawks, falcons and learning about how the trainers and... More
