Wonderful attraction for all ages. They have gorgeous birds in well tended "natural" habitat enclosures. Great docent went from bird to bird, giving details about each, and answering questions. Then for the live demonstration on an open stage: a number of birds brought out in front of us, with discussion and a flying and hunting demonstration. Staff super helpful (offered... More

What a fantastic job they do here; saving the birds' lives and educating the public about raptors. The cages are huge and everything is very clean. We got to see a presentation and witness a kestrel in flight, among others. This is a great place for a family to bring a picnic and walk the trails. We were very near... More

The staff at VINS are knowledgeable and welcoming to their guests. As a birder, I enjoyed the presentation and being able to get an up close view of several raptors. The $13 entrance fee was quite affordable and we lucked out as we had arrived just as one of the presentations were starting. Had we gotten there when there wasn't... More

We stopped here last week. Definitely worth the stop if you like birds of prey. They had about a dozen raptors on display. There was also a nice trail to explore as well as lots of picnic table to have lunch at. The show was very informative about falconry. We spent about 2 hours here and part of the entrance... More

We have been here each time we come to VT. We love seeing the raptors, reading about their injuries and how they have been saved. The trails are easily doable by most people. Beautiful spots down near the river.

What a beautiful place! Staff were extremely helpful friendly, the location wonderful. If we lived nearer I would visit regularly, but alas. All the birds were in beautiful condition and obviously very well looked after. Adults kids, every one should visit

After driving pass this place for years, we finally spent the morning there. We made it in time for the 10:30 song bird feeding. After visiting all of the birds we enjoyed the verbal presentation and demonstrations.

The educational aspects fit the beauty of the eagle and screech owl we saw. The verbal presentations and demonstrations are amazing for how few staff run the place. The staff are experts at what they do,for sure. There are many volunteers pleasantly helping visitors. If I was a hurt or disabled bird, I would be glad I was relocated to... More

We spent an afternoon at VINS Nature Centre recently and enjoyed the birds of prey demonstration, among other demonstrations and exhibits available. The staff are very friendly an knowledgeable. There are trails on-site but nothing too long or strenuous - if you are looking for a real "hike", this is not the place...but well-suited for families with kids and older... More

I've been to a bird of prey rescue center in Idaho, so we took the opportunity to visit VINS curious to see what an entirely different ecosystem had to offer. Overall it wasn't very exciting. They have a number of rescue birds which can be seen quite close up and we had the chance to see a few of them... More
