Take a hike to the bottom of the gorge and dip your toes in the cold water. Enjoy the lovely foliage. Stop at the visitors center and learn how the gorge was formed long ago. More

I have been to the Quechee Gorge ballon festival @ least 8-10 times. I have hundreds of ballon pictures and combine that with the Gorge pictures it was as breath taking as the Grand Canyons, to me that is. Peggy Eldridge R.N.C.H.P.C. Plymouth, Ma More

The gorge was stunning and a wonderful sight..however, the attraction was on a busy highway bridge with a small path for tourists. More

We took our family if boys ages 6-18 on this half mile hike down to the gorge. The path was even easy for the 6 year old to hike. The loved seeing the deep gorge and even better hiking over the rocks and playing in the water at the base. My dogs loved it too. It's a great way to... More

Definitely worth the short hike down the gorge to see the river roar past and wonder at the power of the water cutting through this rock. Probably looks its best either with snow cover or later in the year when the trees are all green. Previous flooding had left a lot of debris along the river and the path, the... More

Far from Suburbia, but big enough for a couple hokey tourist shops, is the Quechee Gorge. It is a state park, and offers camping for those interested in a little outdoorsy goodness. A half mile hike will lead you to the bottom of the gorge, where a river has carved a path through the rock to the bottom of the... More
