I attended a birthday party at Hubbard Park and the shelter was awesome, clean and a great place to visit. Very nice! Would consider hosting a reunion, birthday party or other type of gathering here.

I had a lovely ay hiking around Hubbard Park. It was too icy to go up into the watch tower but that was okay because the trails made up for it. My only criticism is that the trails are not well marked but when I was there I had enough people to ask which way to go.

I was almost going to give it a bad review because I live near one of the entrances, and fake-crunchy-hippies park their Subarus in my apt parking lot and walk their designer dogs in the park. But, it is a great park for a short hike, to explore a little out doors, and discover the Tower and view. Small enough... More

We went on a cold and rainy day but it was still amazing, The woods were gorgeous and the view from the top of the tower was breathtaking.

This was a park we went to just to wait for our main attraction the corn maze to open. However we were pleased to see it was a beautiful park with quiet trails and a open lodge with a fireplace.

I grew up near here and came tons as a teen. But many years have passed and as other reviews have said the trails should be marked a better. Glad it's free and open to the public it's a great area! It was a great little hike I had 4 kids aged 10 down to 2. All hiked it just... More

Thought this would be a great spot for a picnic lunch after a group ride, but the road into the park is STEEP and NARROW. The road was not very well maintained and gravel in the tight right hand turn made it even worse. There were no signs to find the picnic areas. Fortunately, a gentleman walking his dog helped... This is a wooded area above Montpelier with lots of trails. There is a stone observation tower at the top with limited views of the town and the surrounding countryside. For first time visitors, the trails should be marked and trail maps should be provided.

Having grown up a stone's throw from this Park, I can testify that it's a wonderful addition to the City of Montpelier. I spent many a girl scout experience there in my youth. Dirt roads, BBQ pits, hiking trails, and a stone-built "tower" at the top from which you can see a panoramic view of surroundings, Someone had the foresight... More

The Staff at The Econolodge in Montpelier Suggested that this was a good place to jog or ride a bike and they where right. The trails was well maintained and loved the tower in the center of the park. also a good place for a picnic as there a many tables and grills throughout the park.
