I stopped at Manchester Hot Glass as I wanted to purchase something for my new home. My parents had been before and purchased several pieces and suggested this place. When we got there a woman was making her own paper weight. The instructor mentioned there was a spot open and I could make my own glass. For $50 you can... More

I meant to write this several months ago! Andrew and Molly were totally BOSS. My partner and I had gone to VT back in the fall. We talked to the concierge at our hotel and they recommended this place. Even though both my partner and I don't generally like to buy/acquire stuff we gave it a shot because the experience... More

Jean & I had a fantastic session with owner Andrew Weill and his assistant, Molly on 02/05/15. We were total novices when we first went in, working with our first "glob" of molten lava glass, but under Andrew's tutelage (complete with urgency, shouting, laughing and having fun), we learned how to blow glass paperweights, glasses and vases (all of which... Beautiful glassware. Handmade pieces are really worth the investment -- but be ready to invest! Only Christmas ornaments were under $20.

We needed something to do on a rainy day during our ski vacation. Went in with a group of 16 including 8 kids ranging 6yo to 18. We had a blast. Made 5 paper weights, a vase and a pint glass. Andrew was great. He kept the attention of even the youngest in the group for nearly two hours. We... More

Who would ever think of glass blowing as something you could or would want to try yourself ? I went here with a group from my company as a team builder and had a blast. Andrew and Molly really guided us through the process and helped to create something beautiful as well as a one of a kind vase. The... More

This is a very popular attraction... and once we got there, we can see why... We didn't book well enough in advance so the only time available was the 30 minute paperweight session... It was fun... the staff was friendly (What up, Andy?!) After you make the paper weight, it takes a day to cool, so you have to pick... More

A group of 22 scrapbookers recently attended Manchester Glass as one of our outings on our week long visit in Manchester, Vermont. Quite a number of us decided we wanted to make our own vase, bowl, paper weight or carafe. We signed up and were able to blow our own item under the careful guidance and direction of Andrew (owner... My wife and I took the 2 hour class on our honeymoon. Andrew and his team were up front about what was going to happen in our class. He warned us he was going to be a little gruff and expect a certain amount of quickness in learning and execution. The glass cools quickly so it's important you can follow... More

Before we knew it, we'd gone from casual observers, watching them blow glass fish, to artisan in training! Over the course of less than an hour (and for around $100), the owner/artisan stopped his day to show us how it was done! The level of personal involvement was high, but he firmly guides you through the process. Blew a bowl!... More
