My husband and I read about this tour prior to visiting the Manchester Center, Danby, Vermont area. Sharon was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. The van was comfortable, which was a plus, because the tour was more than 3 hours, which included an extensive self-guided tour of Hildene (Robert Todd Lincoln's home). We would highly recommend this tour for anyone... More

Had a wonderful time on the fall foliage tour. We were a little early to really see the spectacular show, but it was worth the trip anyway. Sharon was a fantastic guide, with lots of interesting information with the local insider viewpoint. We visited the flooded marble quarry, Merck State Park where we received a quick maple syrup lesson (plus... More

I am so glad we chose this activity as it was the highlight of our stay in Manchester. Sharon was very knowledgable and gracious all in one. She took us to very interesting sites and explained everything very completely. Don't miss this if you go to Manchester. Her hints were the best! Karen and Tim Phillips New Hartford, ct More

Maybe I wasn't paying attention on that day in 8th grade when our teacher covered Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, but we learned about them on this tour and it was waay more fun than sitting in History class. We really did travel on back roads, just like the title of this tour promises, and discovered history. We... More

My husband and I took my parents up to Manchester VT this past weekend and decided to take them on the Backroad Discovery Tour. We were so happy that we did because it was wonderful! Sharon was extremely friendly, learned everyone's names immediately and showed us many wonderful sights that we would never have come upon ourselves. The alpaca farm... More

I signed myself and 2 friends for the fall foliage Backroad Discovery Tour just this past weekend. The peak of the foliage is over and unexpectedly had some snow but it was a wonderful tour and so glad we signed up. Sharon who runs the tour is wonderful and really mixes up the tour which we loved. We got a... More

Fun, informative, and a great small group tour. Sharon is a life-long resident of Vermont and knows the area well. She gives a more personal view of the sites than a large tour, and at a very reasonable price. Go! More

This may well have been the highlight of our brief visit to this beautiful region of Vermont. Our guide, Sharon, was extremely knowledge and we learned so much about the area. We took in some amazing scenery and it was a great value. Highly recommended for anyone. More

Our tour ended up being just myself and my boyfriend so Sharon treated us to a tour in her open air jeep rather than the bus. It was so much more than we planned on. We thought we would get to enjoy some leaves, but were also treated to a marble quarry, alpaca farm, a quick tutorial on how maple... More
