If you would like to see Stan Bogdan's reels or the prototype of Orvis CFO this is the place for you. I liked it a lot - wish the hours were more accommodating.

My husband is an avid fly fisherman so this was on his must-see list when we were in Manchester. It's a small museum in a charming older house which has a wealth of information on fly fishing & fly tying. There are many interesting facts about the people who were innovators in the fly fishing world. You can see some... More

We would of loved to see this since my husband is a long time fly fisherman and heard wonderful things about it but the problem is we could not see it since only open Tues-Sat from 10-4. My husband had a guided fly fishing trip that day and we thought it would be open on Sunday but we were wrong.... More

We found this place quite by surprise while walking through Manchester. I care little about fishing but like museums and this was a gem. It is worth seeing for the architecture and beautiful displays. Fun little gift shop too.

Great place to see if you are interested in fly fishing. Even if you aren't, it is a very visually interesting place. Yoshi, the Deputy Director does most of the design and painting. Very talented guy.

This was an interesting place, next to Orvis, and the price wasn't too bad, only $5 per person. But only women are featured and we thought there'd be more but the second level, albeit beautifully filled with bookshelves and photos, only had books, some of which you couldn't look at. I hope they expand this to have more history of... More

I wrote an article about it for the Albany Times Union, worth checking out even if you are not much into fly fishing, very impressive collection of publications and artifacts.
