Wonderful old building, creaky wooden floors, lots of reviews and staff recommendations. If you love browsing through books, you will love this place.

I visited here recently while vacationing in the area..... I'd been several times before. I love this place because of all the nooks and crannies in this building. The staff are friendly and helpful and they have clean public rest rooms. I bought greeting cards, per usual, but it was fun to peruse the book titles as well, especially in... More

Lovely, well organised and classical music in the background is a paradise on earth. There's toys, gifts, bargains books, used children books and a coffee shop.

If you are someone who loves bookstores, and could spend hours browsing the stacks, this store is for you. On a cold winter night, my wife and I stopped in just to check it out and spent almost 3 hours here! The selection is vast, but my favorite part is that the store has staff recommendations and reviews spread around... More

Love the local bookstore - found cute crafts for my kids - great books - fair prices. Bookstore is large, well spaced/laid out, staff helpful. Love this gem!

While yes, this is just a bookstore, it is a very good one. You could spend a lot of time here and come out with a lot of books. The layout of the store is great, where each section has it's own division, almost split into rooms, if you will, with some comfortable seating, if you need to do some... More

One can only imagine how tall the stack of books on my bedside table would be if I lived here. Best bookstore!!! An indie legend for a reason. Love the handwritten reviews, selections well beyond the best seller list. A kids section that rocks. And a cafe and gift shop. Staff is so helpful. Definite must stop destination for anyone... More

Both offer great staff recommendations. Both have awesome children's sections. The Manchester store has a great cafe attached. The Saratoga store is surrounded by great eateries. Hoping that a... I could really spend days in this bookstore. Not only do they have an amazing selection of books, but they have a ton of unique gifts and fun little knick-knacks. The kids section is lots of fun with cool books, toys and a play area to keep little ones amused. The cafe is great for a coffee, sandwich or salad... More

One of the best children's sections ever. Whenever we are in Manchester we stop in for a couple of hours and always find amazing books.
