My husband and I enjoyed a morning spent with Rob and two if his hawks, Monty and Wallace. This is now known as Green Mountain Falconry and is in a beautiful location alongside the mountain in Manchester. You can find more info on their facebook page, and they still work through equinox. Rob was a great teacher and is clearly... More

We loved walking the quiet woodland trail with 2 Harris hawks following, at times swooping down to land on our outstretched arms for a tasty morsel. Rob is very knowledgeable about all aspects of falconry and is the perfect host for this unique experience. We plan to return on our next trip to Manchester!

I'd always had a healthy respect for birds in general, bordering on fear. (I've been bitten by a couple of grouchy African Grey Parrots as a child) .... I needed to face that fear head-on and decided that the British School of Falconry and holding a bird of prey would be just the ticket. My instructor (forget her name) was... More

My husband & I love birds of prey & I have always dreamed of a Falconry experience & this was it. We both handled a Harris Hawk and then ended the day with a Hawk Walk. Although expensive, we truly enjoyed this unique experience and learned a lot about the birds.

I brought my wife here on a lark (pun intended), for a unique experience. It was sooooo cool, and soooo interesting. She took a lesson, and loved it. A little scared at first, but the trainer was so patient and explained everything beforehand. Great stop!

My wife came upon this after another experience with raptors in Ireland. This was one of the best vacation experiences ever. We learned about the history of falconry, much about the different raptors involved in the sport, the care of the current birds and spent significant time learning the characteristics of the sport. And yes, I said sport. The birds... More

What a novel and exciting experience! I watched my thirteen year old son take an introductory falconry lesson. He loved it and I really enjoyed watching the birds (actually hawks) up close. It is definitely a hands on lesson. My son wore a heavy leather glove and held his hawk (named Denver) during the entire lesson. He learned to launch... More

We had a great time here and there is nothing quite like holding a hungry bird of prey on your arm! It's a truly unforgettable experience. I learned a lot more than I expected about hawks, their habits, how they're trained, the way they think, and more! Any question you have will be answered and in great detail. Setting a... More

This is a once in a lifetime experience. It was amazing and well worth the price. You learn a lot in a short time and it's something you will remember for a lifetime. Just be sure to bring someone with you that can take pictures for you!
