you won't find this in many brochures - a bit isolated but well worth the trip - great skiing on offer and plenty eateries nearby as well as on site. if you are feeling adventurous ben and jerry's is within striking distance more

Sometimes you want A-Basin or Jackson Hole to kick your tail, sometimes you don't. This place is immaculately groomed. Runs are smooth as butter. Not the place for extreme bumps (good luck finding any), but if you want to feel like Phil Mahre on every run, or have kids and wife who aren't as good as you are, it's a... more

My daughter snowboarded while I explored. She thought Okemo was great for her level of experience (mid-range). I explored the town of Ludlow and the surrounding area. The tourist center people were most helpful in this, especially Marji, who gave me maps and plotted out a route taking me to all the interesting little local shops and restaurants. A note... more

I’ve skied most of the Vermont resorts (Mount Snow, Killington, Sugar Bush among others) and some in New York. Okemo is one of the best choices for an intermediate family getaway. The Mountain The terrain is mostly intermediate. Nice blue cruisers and some blacks with enough grade to build some good speed. There are some very nice scenic green trails... more

Okemo has lots of long cruisers and is just a pleasure to ski. The difficulty is *uniform* -- apart from grooming or lack thereof, the greens are scarcely different from the double blacks (yes, the double blacks). Beautiful scenery, great layout (no herring boning necessary despite the sprawling trails), and miles of blissful ego-boosting corduroy. Really really fun! more

We took a snowboarding vacation early February 2008 to Okemo Mountain. We had been to both Killington and Mount Snow several times and wanted to try a new resort that would also have many trails, so we decided on Okemo. We did a 3-day lift pass and were only able to really snowboard for 1 of the days due to... more

For spring break we decided to enjoy more skiing this year since there was a late start to the snow. I ski mostly the green slopes, with my boyfriend skiing with we me or blue/black. Originally we booked at Stowe, and only through our own effort found that a lot of the trails I could ski were closed. At the... more

We rented a four bedroom condo on the mountain this fall - obviously not for skiing, but for a weekend getaway, and unfortunately there was a glitch. People who had the bottom floor bedrooms had a terrible stench in the rooms - almost like standing water. The windows all had to opened and the rooms had to be aired out... more
