I remember whan Okemo was a nice family run operation. It is now part of a conglomerate that has raised the prices every year so I will no longer go there. It is a popular place with great skiing but just not for me. And I am a local.

My girl liked the drive up the back hills and the hike to the summit and sit on the ski lift without having to be bogged down in snow equipment. Sometimes you forget that the mountains are just as fun in the spring as they are in the winter with 60" of base powder!
My family and I love to hit Okema at least once a season at the very least. With the amount of natural snow received, we were able to visit a few times this past winter and have a great time of the slopes each visit. The conditions were amazing and we like the variety of hitting a larger mountain. The...

Just did some spring skiing this past weekend and it was awesome. We had skied here years ago and then in the past 5 years once but this time really spent a great deal of time on the hill. It was great for our family with varied terrain that made all abilities happy. Loved all the amentities including tubing and...

This mountain is equipped with excellent friendly staff. The lift lines can be tough on holidays, but that is to be expected. The options for lunch are cafeteria style or a high end restaurant...no in between pub with music. If they added that, this would be the perfect place to ski.
Friendly crowd, clean lodge. This is one of the best mountains in VT for an intermediate to advanced skier/snowboarder. There are plent areas away from the base to go with shorter lines.
Truthfully, I was very sceptical of getting on skiis, as I didn't think I had the balance to even move...well, by the end of my second lesson (which happened to be a private lesson as I was the only one signed up for the afternoon group) I was confident I can ski down and even do parallel turns. While on...

We traveled to Okemo from NJ for a long President's Weekend. Our family was parents, nephew 15, daughter 11, and daughter 6. Everyone had a good time. We skied intermediate and beginner terrain. There were plenty of trails to please everyone. Even on the holiday the lines were short and there was plenty of friendly staff to keep everyone moving....

Okemo was crowded because conditions were perfect - heavy snow, cold but not too cold. The kids loved their ski lessons, and we loved the hot chocolate. The dining options are passable, the staff is helpful, and the mountain is great. The mountain coaster was another big hit, ridden many times (expensive, though). Unfortunately, they did not have the snow...

The slopes have a variety of trails for all levels. The views from the top of the mountain are amazing. Nice touch having boxes of kleenex at bottom of lifts! Wish the lodges were cozier.
