I played Green Mountain National about 6 time over the past few years and have tried a number of other courses within 30 miles and enjoy this one the most. During the week you can walk which I prefer, but the back nine can be a challenge to walk. Keeping your balls in the fairway is always good but here... More

I am new at golfing but this summer I got to play a few rounds at GMNGC. The course is well groomed, neat and friendly atmosphere. There is a variety of difficulty throughout the course and doesn't get old if you play multiple rounds. I would highly recommend to play 9 holes at this course.

Andrea - Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review of Green Mountain National and welcome to the great game of golf! You certainly picked the right day to play as the fall foliage is almost at it's peak. Maybe next year you could participate in one of our Saturday morning golf clinics or take a... More

We played here 2 years ago on another visit to the area and enjoyed it so much that we decided to again this year. The mountain views are fabulous, colorful planted flowers everywhere, and course conditions were excellent for late summer. Unfortunately it does suffer from too many unfilled divots on the tee boxes and fairways, and pitch marks on the... More

Green Mountain National is located in Killington VT, in the midst of the beautiful Green Mountains. We played using the Golf Card International at the really low rate of $45 each including cart. The course can stretch out to 6589 yards to as little as 5115 for the men, with the women at 4740. There are no impossible holes for... More

Thank you MatureTravelers778, As you mention Green Mountain National is a great course for all ability levels and our Starters and Rangers always try to direct golfers to which set of our 5 tee boxes will best suit their game and insure that they are challenged while still having an enjoyable time. We have had a few challenges with road... More

Even with an 11:30 tee time on a Sunday, it was fantastic. We were lucky to have a local join us, as many have mentioned, and it really does make a difference. Very interesting course where you will use most of the clubs and shots in your bag. The greens, while not fast, rolled true and were very challenging. Hoping... More

This up-and-down mountain course with some spectacular views was in pristine condition in August 2014. There are very few level lies or straight putts, so it challenges your ability to handle rolling terrain, specially on the greens. Because of this and some blind shots, it is a course where your performance will improve with experience and local knowledge. Discounts are... More

Dear Soxfan, Thanks for taking the time to visit us here at Green Mountain National and for writing such kind words about the course. I play GMN every summer on a golf trip to Vermont. It's like a beautiful woman---you probably get burned but somehow you don't mind! A lot of blind shots, so it's helpful to play with the friendly locals. Not a long course but generally very tight. For a mountain course I think it's quite walkable. A lot of people ask... More

This is a very nice golf course. It would be very helpful to have a local with you as there are quite a few blind shots on the course. One of the most scenic courses I have played.

This is our favorite course in Vermont. It is tough and challenging, you will want a cart as there is a lot of up and down to the course. The clubhouse is small but has very good sandwiches and a small but nice golf shop. The employees are all very courteous

I played this course on a 2 day trip to Vermont. I had heard lots of positive feedback on it. It is a very challenging layout and demands a golfer bring his A game. There are a few odd holes, but that just seem to happen when you are building a course in the mountains. The 2nd hole is a... More
