I play GMN every summer on a golf trip to Vermont. It's like a beautiful woman---you probably get burned but somehow you don't mind! A lot of blind shots, so it's helpful to play with the friendly locals. Not a long course but generally very tight. For a mountain course I think it's quite walkable. A lot of people ask... More

This is a very nice golf course. It would be very helpful to have a local with you as there are quite a few blind shots on the course. One of the most scenic courses I have played.

This is our favorite course in Vermont. It is tough and challenging, you will want a cart as there is a lot of up and down to the course. The clubhouse is small but has very good sandwiches and a small but nice golf shop. The employees are all very courteous

I played this course on a 2 day trip to Vermont. I had heard lots of positive feedback on it. It is a very challenging layout and demands a golfer bring his A game. There are a few odd holes, but that just seem to happen when you are building a course in the mountains. The 2nd hole is a... More

The course is beautiful and the terrain is challenging...the greens fees are average and the club house is small but nice. You MUST take a cart...walking would take ages and definitely tire you out (and hike the green mountains all summer long). GMN is well worth a round.

Challenging but great golf. Don't even think of walking as it is up and down and long walk between holes. Look for discounts in New England Golf Guide

Green Mountain National is a very well laid out course, utilizing the hills and valleys of the Killington area to best advantage. The course is usually in terrific condition, and the friendly staff will help you get off to a good start. The course can be played at any distance you choose, as there are five or more tees every... Played both Sat and Sun. Challenging but fair from the whites. Played easier on the second day with the first day's knowledge. Staff friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with eating suggestions and other activities for the evening.

If you can handle the beauty and the hilly terrain you are in for a treat. The grounds are kept immaculate and have a open grass range. The have a little grill which is not too bad. The Pro, Alan, is notorious and great. If you are lucky you'll catch a bear sighting as we did last summer. Not your... More
