A nice walk around however as we approached the other side that ends up on the road the trail became a stream! Be ready to take off hiking shoes and wade through the water!

Headed here to see the moose. First and foremost, coming in from the east, don't let google maps bring you in over Elbow and Old Turnpike off of 100 unless you are in an ATV! Go all the way to Chittenden. The view was great and imagine on a pretty day, the walk around the pond would be spectacular. Very... More

a little hard to find--two lakes in one and a marsh. Bird variety just okay. Nice to see loons and kingfishers. Pretty but not spectacular. Free with about ten parking spots and a portapotty. A few Trails around lake. Only of interest to those staying nearby.

I find it is one of the best places to see osprey, moose, mergansers, turtles, blue heron and a lot of pretty plants with a view to boot.

The trail to the pond was beautiful, especially during the foliage season the reflection of the mountain on the water was breathtaking. It was so quiet and felt like a secret discovery that not many people know about.
