Wow! What a good time we had. John and his team were fantastic. I have never been a serious hiker but his team was able to see my worries and push me beyond them. Every night we went to bed seeing and doing something new, pleasantly exhausted. The package that he put together for lodging and meals was fantastic. I... More

Just came back from a 5 day trip with Appalachian Trail Adventures and couldn't be happier! John was a great host and guide. Very flexible with the types of hikes to choose from and the guides (in addition to John) were fantastic. I would highly recommend this hiking spa if you are looking for a healthy respite from everyday life.

As Kirsten Miller said, we were a group of eight women ranging in age from 47 to 77 and we all loved our two day vacation with ATA. We are already planning to return next year!!!

John was an EXCELLENT tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable, tailored the hike to meet my sister and I's hiking abilities, and brought his cute pooch, Aeolus, along for the hike as well! We did 5.5 miles on the Deer Leap trail, chatted with hikers doing the full trail (6 month venture!), then had a bag lunch, and hiked 3/4... More

John and his guides provide a professional, top-notched experience! Each hike is tailored to the hikers desires/abilities and the optional caving and kayaking adventures round out a great day each day! We had a great time. Group of female aunts and cousins. We had quite a range of hiking abilities and John was able to plan hikes so we could all be together most of the time. Beautiful trails with great views. He was extremely knowledgeable about flora and fauna as were his guides. The combination of hiking in the morning... More

My boyfriend and I were visiting the Killington area and booked a 1/2 day guided caving tour with John. I'm so happy we did! John is a friendly and knowledgeable guide and we had a great chat hiking to and from the cave. This was our first caving experience and he made us feel extremely comfortable and guided us through... Just returned from 4 fabulous days of hiking, kayaking and caving. John, Leslie and Sam were wonderful guides, sharing helpful tips and showing us great views. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do! Loved having the pool at the hotel to relax by after the active day. Also plenty of food options (as two of us are vegetarians)... More

We just came back from a 3 day ATA vacation in Vermont. Both my fiancee and I had never been hiking before and this was a new adventure for us. John, the head guide of ATA, was extremely flexible and kind with all our questions and plans. We started out hiking at the Thunder Fall Trails, a novice hike with... More
