Our guide John was friendly, reliable, and very knowledgeable. His company was easy to do business with and John was always professional. John ensured that we had all the equipment we needed for our adventures and he kept us safe. Can't wait to return!!

I have spent 5 wonderful days filled with hiking and kayaking excursions with the ATA team this July. John and the guides were super friendly and they did everything to make my stay so very enjoyable. The level of challenge of the activities was perfect, they took care of all the logistics and I could simply enjoy it all with... More

I was looking for a place where I could leave my head and just enjoy some physical activity w/o having a travel companion. John made that possible while he was flexible and gave you options ..he took care of all the details. Leslie, one of the guides, was so encouraging and made me feel very comfortable. We had a blast... More

Went with a girlfriend for a weekend of hiking and had a great experience with John and his colleague, Leslie. Great hikes, afternoon kayaking and good company along the trail! Definitely recommend ATA.

I consider myself a decent athlete, so I was interested to see what the ATA staff would plan for more advanced hikers. I was quite pleased. John's guides are experienced hikers, skiers, kayakers, and all around outdoors people. John himself is incredibly attentive to detail: he actually reads the questionnaire you fill out, and he plans hikes that are appropriate... More

I decided with a girlfriend to plan a hiking trip for a week and we weren't sure what to expect! We couldn't be happier with our experience with ATA. We purchased a package that included full day guided adventures, all of our food as well as our lodging... They made it so simple! We are girlie girls but wanted to... More

You can’t beat the Appalachian Trail in Vermont. Just out of this world. The first twenty miles or so after leaving Massachusetts is fairly easy going. That is until you get to Bennington and start into the Green Mountains. That is where the fun begins. Fantastic vistas, great climbs, lots of flora and fauna. You can’t take enough photographs. You... More

Decided to do this with two other girlfriends as a weekend getaway. It exceeded our expectations! At first we were not thrilled with the accomodations. Though the lodge is perfectly nice, the room is a typical ski lodge room, not attractive, but very clean and functional. All the people behind the front desk were very accomodating. John who is the... More

As a solo traveler, I thoroughly enjoyed my five days with Appalachian Trail Adventures. I was pleased that the guides paced the hikes to suit my needs. Kayaking was fun and I particularly enjoyed going over the beaver dams - loads of fun! Food was good with adequate choices. The Jacuzzi was nice to relax in at the end at... More
