This camp ground has wonderful sites overlooking Lake Champlain. The campground has clean bathrooms, hot showers, firewood and nice employees. The best about this campground is the cycling. Park and get on your bike! Many loops go right from this campground. Lovely area and scenery. Also you can find road side places for food!

My wife and I stayed here during our first visit to Lake Champlain. The park is a great location on South Hero Island and a short drive down to Burlington. It's a great launching point for many adventures. The staff was friendly and our campsite was great.

Very clean and well maintained. Many good sites for camping, including cabins and lean tos with gorgeous lake views. Staff was very helpful in pointing out local hikes and things to do. Weather was horrible - 5 straight days of rain - but Burlington is 30 minutes away, so we had a place for bad weather activities.

Lots of space, right on the lake, and nice campsights. As far as state parks go, this is up there with the best! It's usually pretty full, so book a spot early.

Rented the camping cabin at this st. park in Vermont, great location on Lake Champlain. 2 nights rental in August, the park has pay showers (.50) for 5 minutes and very clean, cabin has 2 bunks and a futon, electricity, table and chairs, picnic table and was a bout 50 yards from the lake. have stayed at other locations in... A really great 'get away from it all' spot. There are many campsites so worth taking some time to pick a spot. We chose a lean to with a great view of the lake however there is a small, rocky beach with a nice grassy area that everyone can access. Bathrooms were spotless; a hot shower cost 50 cents. Note... Took the family to Grand Isle state park for fishing and relaxation. I was truly surprised she impressed with the facilities and beach. Very clean and nice people. Everyone was helpful and informative. Clean Bathrooms! They have a great area for crab fishing too. Bring your gear you will definitely catch something. Will come back!

I haven't taken my two children camping since they were 3 and 6 (not a pleasant experience). Now that they are 10 and 13, I decided to give it another try. Grand Isle State Park in VT was an excellent choice for us! We were at the SHAD site which overlooked the lake and had a lean-to. We appreciated being... More

My hubby and his best friend and I stayed the week of July 4th weekend. Our campsite was chosen only a month before so I blame us for the limited availability. The site was tiny and it said big enough for large tent or small camper. We did manage to get two large tents on the site but we were... More

We stayed in the Beech lean to overlooking the lake. I booked it in January and had to play around with 2 months worth of dates to get 5 straight nights which should tell you something. Our site and the campground is gorgeous. I was able to use a rope between my site and the one next to us to... More
