My family and were guests of Stowe Mountain Lodge. On our last day of the trip we decided to visit Eden Dog Sledding. Since this is a year that Stowe has seen little natural snow, we weren't sure if any tours would be running. I spoke with Jim a few times, and he assured me they where he sits in... More

#6 on my bucket list was to go on a dog sled ride My husband gave me this wonderful gift for Valentines day and it was truly unforgettable. We had enthusiastic dogs with lots of energy, as well as a great guide. The guide, who was very patient, answered all our questions about the dogs and he also shared some... More

We went the day after Christmas in 2014 and had a great time. The dogs are happy pulling the sleds and contented resting with guests afterwards, For my wife and daughter, this was the #1 highlight our Vermont Christmas vacation, and my son and I also put it in our top two or three things in Vermont.

We booked through Umiak for a 3 hour dog sledding and snowshoeing tour and it was the highlight of our trip! The kennels are located about 45 minutes north of Stowe but it's not a bad drive. In the winter you will need four wheel drive or snow tires to make it to their location as it's remote just like... More

This is not an attraction, this is an adventure. I you or your kids love dogs and the "never done that" experience this is it. Well worth the drive and great views. The host Jiml was amazing giving us all the details on each and every one of his dogs. He loves them and knows each personality. What a great... More

I took my kids to Northern Vermont to ski and we booked a dog sledding trip at Eden Dogsledding. Everyone was really nice at this place including the woman who answered the phone when we booked. They give you lots of time to meet the dogs and then teach you how to harness the dogs. It was a bitter cold... More

I surprised my husband with a trip to Eden. We showed up a little early and were able to hang out with the dogs before the harnessing and hitching. We met some older (retired) dogs as well as some 9 month old puppies that are just learning to pull sleds. Katelyn was our tour guide and she was great -... More

Today was a perfect day to go on a dogsled. Lots of snow and bright sunshine. The dogs, although at first don't appear as typical sled pulling dogs, made the experience quite exciting. The dogs are friendly and we were able to interact with and get to know them before starting out. My son was able to help hitch the... More
