For something fun to do, visit the Chocolatorium! We were looking for something "different" to do on a rainy Saturday. About an hour and 15-minute drive from Albany, NY it was a perfect way to spend our afternoon. Not knowing exactly what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. When we entered, we were greeted with the aroma of chocolate. The... More

What a wonderful place to bring children! A friendly, family-owned business run during the summer by two sisters (who teach during the year), and presumably by the father and brother the rest of the time, this is a lovely shop to visit for children. There was a video, coloring, all sorts of things to see (chocolate carved homes, for example),... More

This place is so awesome. A little hard to find , so you really have to pay attention to the signs. From the moment we stepped inside i was in love. The aroma of the handmade chocolates was amazing and also mouthwatering. The bearatorium was cool with so many bears and stuffed animals to choose from. But on the other... More

this store is a gem! Family run business by the nicest people! They make you feel so at home, like you have known them forever! A little off the beaten path but so worth finding. Definitely do the chocolate testing and learn how chocolate is made and how it REALLY supposed to taste! Follow signs for Village Peddler, Bearatorium or... More

This place was a "Must-see" for me! It's very small and in an itty-bitty town of only a few stores. It smells amazing and there is a big display made completely of chocolate! There is also a teddy bear made of chocolate which is pretty sweet (hehe)! You can watch an informative video and then have some trivia where they... More

What an education to sit in on one of Nick's presentations about chocolate. He's so enthusiastic about his love of the art. Call ahead for a video and personal lesson with samples! Then shop their American made store for all they have to offer. My groups love it and it's always a stop on our trips to the East Coast

I found mention of this place in a local tourist brochure, so set out to find it. It's definitely not on the well-beaten path of 7A, but required a turn onto a small side street that threatened to disappear into a dead-end until I happened to catch the small sign directing me to turn right. It's a cute, if touristy,... More

My husband and I stumbled upon the chocolatorium while on a hiking trip. It was one of the most memorable parts of our weekend! We took an impromptu tasting lesson. The “teacher” presented a history of chocolate and a background on how chocolate is produced. I’m a huge chocolate lover, so this was especially exciting for me! It’s not a... More

This place has a wonderful variety. Chocolate combinations, with peanutbutter and all other delicious varieties. Seasonal themed chocolates for kids. As well as a few country store items.
