ECHO is a terrific small science center located right on shore of Lake Champlain in Burlington. It has a rotating exhibit space. I've been there for exhibits on dinosaurs (just OK) and an excellent exhibit on design including stations to build using Keva blocks. My other highlight has to be the numerous live animal exhibits that are scattered around the... More

For $14 per adult I was hoping for a bit more. There were good exhibits but we were surprised when we were through the entire place in under 35 minutes.

A great way to introduce kids to the ecology of the lake. Started as a tiny show and tell place but has expanded into much more! Lake Champlain is a fascinating place, and this is a great way to understand it better.

This is a fun place to take kids and grandkids. A bit on the expensive side but the kids seem to love it. Very interactive.

This place is interesting to say the least. If you don't mind your glass of wine in a plastic glass to be enjoyed with some excellent, complimentary, local cheese, then you will enjoy a night of playing "scientific intellectual." I've been a few times. The most memorable lecture I attended, in 2011 --I sound smart just saying that, especially for... More

I spotted the brochure for this at a kiosk, so figured it would be worth the trip to check it out. This is a hand-on science museum dedicated to the ecology of Lake Champlain. The foyer contains a piece of an ancient coral reef that was unearthed in the area, and it’s quite impressive to know it’s around 500 million... More

This 36,000 square foot museum, built in 2003, plays host to more than 150,000 visitors per year and features interactive exhibits, educational programs, and more aquatic wildlife than you would imagine in upstate Vermont. Great for kids and adults alike, the ECHO Lake Aquarium is a fun place to spend a morning in Burlington. But look, it is a small... More

This spot is great for kids to kill time and learn in an afternoon. We have been members for two years and as locals always need things to keep our now 5 year old occupied, especially during the long winter! Our son love to revisit favorites - the pool with small starfish & small anemones. The exhibits change to and... More

Went to the museum last week with our 2 year old. He was definitely to young for it. At $14 for adults it wasn't worth it. Seemed kind of small for that price. It was confusing to navigate too. Not a very good flow to the place at all
