Lots of hand on activities and a ton of information about the history of Lake Champlain. We learned things we entered would have guessed existed. The museum is small, and you can see most of the exhibits in about 90 minutes.

This museum is a must-see if you are interested in the natural history of the Lake Champlain Basin. There are hands-on activities for children and interesting exhibits for all ages. The gift shop is full of great items. The museum is right on the Lake so you can take a walk in Waterfront Park before or after your visit. You... More

We were looking for something that our 3 kids, ages 3, 10, and 13 would all enjoy. I felt it was a little beyond my 3 year olds comprehension. She liked the exhibits but there was a lot of reading that left her bored. The lady selling the tickets was very pushy into trying to talk us into getting a... More

My DD age 2 enjoyed all the turtles but not terribly blown away by the fish because she has already been spoiled by bright tropical fish at other aquariums. It is fun on a rainy day but a quick visit. I wouldn't spend full price on admission. Go to their website for discount vouchers.

Interesting exhibits and a great view of the harbor. Very informative people who were available to field all questions.

Helpful staff who told us right where we needed to go, or do. They gave us more than just the "pre made script", and brought us into their conversation, and didn't just tell us, they showed us.

Wonderful adventure on the coast of Lake Champlain with lots of hands-on experiences for children. There were lots of "creatures" to find and to learn about, with a good deal of staff to incite and advise.

It's tough to find a place that appeals to all my kids, ages 17 to 9, but this fit the bill. Hands on stuff for the younger ones and informational stuff for the older ones. There are alot of tanks with various aquatic critters and everyone liked that. What the kids loved the most was being videoes while "reporting" the... More

The museum had interesting, hands on activities for my toddler and elm student. Was wowed by how many animals they have. Well worth trying when you have time.
