Cutting edge exhibits; interesting films

Fine little gallery with avant garde exhibits and fine films focused on the arts. Located in a renovated firehouse on Burlington's pedestrian Church Street Marketplace.

This is a great arts resource, whether you live in Burlington or elsewhere. There are typically 3 different galleries within the building showing contemporary work and the range of art is impressive. It is not uncommon to find a musical performance somewhere in the building as well. Shows are beautifully curated, and the art is often innovative and on the... More

Quaint arts area with artists and crafts people doing a variety of art forms. Children's art camps, etc. We visited Vermont Singing Drum. Beautiful metal drums that play metitative music.

Beautiful Flynn Theater hall. Seats were very small but comfortable and the sound was great. Nice place to see a concert.

Burlington City Arts is a complex organization being both city funded and a membership organization. They maintain a public gallery in their headquarters building on the Church Street Marketplace next door to City Hall. In addition to the exhibits they organize many public events and offer a very wide selection of classes. Any city would be happy to have such... More

We enjoyed a short visit here. While the quality of the three exhibits varied, one in particular was outstanding. We were glad we stopped in!

this is a small intimate gallery you can visit and see in a short time. We went with a small child who was able to interact with the materials and welcomed by the staff. Worth a look on your way to all the sights in Burlington

Great exhibits, friendly staff, interesting receptions. The gallery spaces accommodate most types of art exhibits and events. It is free. The big front windows draw people in.
